GTA comes to X-box!

Grand Theft Auto is finally coming to X-box. On November 4th 2003. Rockstar is releasing a double-pack containing GTA3 and GTA: Vice City.
Hum dee dum dee do.
Please. Let us chat about the holiness of this.

I'm hoping the Graphics will be improved on the Xbox version, however, there's more chance of me becoming nice and doing voluntary work than that happening...

I've heard about Vice City coming to Xbox soooo many times, but at last! A release date! Woo! I probably won't get it for two years or however long I can go being bored. Bah, I'm a scrooge.

YES! one of my fav games ever is coming to Xbox. I'm glad I didn't buy them both on PC. What makes this even better is one, it's coming out really soon, and about 7 or 8 weeks before Christmas

Wow! Nice pictures! GTA3 has better graphics on Xbox than PC. Trust me, I have it on PC.

That LA game is coming out soon as well, which looks good. And Fable in the first quarter of 2004...but then i have to balance past time pleasures with drinking pleasures and since i am currently jobless its abit of a bastard...poozle

Heh! Lol... I'm going to go check out the Game FaQ boards in a few minutes. Almost ever person there was always like "GTA is exclusive! Having it go to X Box will suck!" or "It wouldn't be fair!", as if a game being on multiple systems was something largely unfair and painful to them. Heh... Happiness. Now I can play GTA on X Box, even while my brother has our PS2 at college! Whoope!

That's where I first found out. It's hilarious. All the PS2 fanboys are basically in tears about it. "That's not fair, you've got Halo" they say. Hahaha.

I find it hilarious at the fact the PS2 fanboys hate X Box because its Microsoft, and yet they want and love games like Halo. Then they can't wait for it to come out on PC. And guess what? They all use computers with windows... hehehe.

Dammit. We just purchased Vice City for the PS2 a month or so ago. I don't like the intense realism of those Xbox shots of GTA though.

I prefer the blury, more colourful version. They've made it too realistic in 'looks', I like the PS2 'looks' better.

The graphics look exellent, and I too have both of them on PC. Lol now I have three reasons to get an X-Box (although that will never happen): Munch's Oddysee and the GTA combo.

They haven't actually modified the 'looks'. They've just upped the resolution (to an amazing level, I might add). And those are shots of GTA3, so of course they are less colourful. Vice City has pink markers. Pink markers!!

Whatever it is they've upped, it doesn't appeal to my eyes. GTA is meant to be a half-realistic / half-unrealistic game, yet the way it looks is realistic.

A perfect example is Zelda: The Ocarina of Time. This game was meant to be extremely realistic, yet the graphics / resolution weren't realistic. This was most likely due to the Nintendo 64, though

Alcar, those were shots from GTA3. GTA3 had a relatively different atmosphere about it. More gangsterish, not tropical like Vice City. As in, nothing really changed. They just made it cleaner looking.

Plus, you can always turn trails back on if you wish

That is, if you were smart enough to take them off in the first place...

Curse you people! I'm saying the photos of GTA on the XBOX look too realistic! Not the version on the PS2! The PS2 version looks great, because the resolution isn't as defined!

If there is an option in the XBOX version of GTA for trails, I'll turn it on. If I get it...

Can some people who have played the game highlight the amazingness that the GTA twins (GTA3 & Vice City) are. Cos im thinking of saving my money for when they come out and then purchasing them, instead of buying a game this month.

A couple of features that you personally like in the game would be appreciated. As would some of the shtuffs you can do and one of your fave missions (please try and not mention how you completed it if you can, if you can't...it doesn't matter).

I like GTA 3's atmosphere. It is very gangster-ish and dark.
The storyline of betrayal is cool.
One of my favourite missions is one where you have to steal an ice-cream van, rig it with a bomb, leave it outside some place, and when the people come out to purchase the chilly delights, you press the detonator.

Vice City is fun because of the even more freedom you have. You can drive Cars, motorbikes, boats, helicopters, a seaplane, golf-carts and airport baggage carriers. You can also rob stores.
My other reason of recommendation is the music. I thought the eighties sucked, but the music on the games radio stations is awesome. So good I went out and bought the rock stations cd.
My favourite mission is one where you have to kill a golfer, and he jumps in his caddy and starts hooning around the golf course, with you in one chasing him. It's fun and sad at the same time.
