The Slurgiest of slurgs to come

I had been coming to this forum for quite sometime, reading and listening to people talk about Oddworld, and non Odd world related stuff. And only a day ago had i finally got the guts to REGISTER!

Man lemme tell ya... when i go to forums i don't typically register unless i really, really like it and sometimes even then i might just get lazy and well... forget. Anyways i was really excited and anxious to join this forum cuz this was one of the best places to talk about Odd World stuff. so here i am registering and finally get all the complicated stuff over and down with, now i all i had to do was post a 'Hello' message. something simple, straightforward, and to the point, it was a simple innocent task, right? i couldn't have been more wrong...

Well... after typing in my little greeting i clicked submit... a moment later i recieved a message saying my account wasn't activated... okay. so i stayed on the forum for and hour or two clicking here, clicking there... Well that night i finally acknowledged i was technically challenged... and went to bed.

The next morning i recieved a message in my e-mail that my account was activated (had i had known before it took sometime for a member to be registered i would have had 3 hour of more sleep.) Then i gave up on my little 'hello' post it seemed to cliche to me anyway, so i typed another one, this time i wanted to preview my post first so i could fix and correct mispelled words, and guess what? i recieved another message this time saying i wasn't logged in? what?! so i logged in and tried to return to my post... the page had expired.

After sheading many tears and feeling of sorrow i jumped back in the chair and re-typed my (third) greeting message in hopes that the computer would be nicer and allow me to post this one. So after many trials to finally become and post as a member of Odd world forums i just want to say 'hi'.

i guess That covers it all sorry if that was long, but i had to let that out... well i'm going to bed now, night.

Exactly what happened to me.....but it didn't.

Welcome to the forums....and I'm the lively Intern Shock Rocker. You have away with words, I do not.......because i just dont.

and finally...have fun and stay out of sligslingers way.....but hes very useful of making banners, and Abe15, a squirmy cheeky dweed, and its our job to stop that.

Hello, I'm oddguy! (Name is pretty much self explanitory!) Ah yes, I remember joining forums. *blury flashback sequence* I didn't have a tough time getting in, but I know GrigtheSlig experienced almost exactly what happened to you.

If you've been watching us for a while, you most likely saw the grand time at oddworld forums.....the time when we got info on the new OW game. Yes, you could leave for an hour and come back to find 100 posts had popped up in your absence. *Sheds a tear at the thought of those happy memories* Now......the forums have turned very dull and evil debate threads rule the land! *pounds fist on table with dramtic music playing in the background* All theories on Steef have been exhausted, and we are all starving for more news about it. Hopefully some life will come back to the forums when Oddlympics start! *a ray of light shines out of the heavens and happy music plays*

I'm glad to see some anticipation of the Oddlympics 2.0. We are putting the finishing touches on it right now...it might start next week if we work efficiently...

Thanx for the posts everyone, and thank you Salty Pretzils, I'll make sure i won't annoy anyone TOO much

and i'm sure the forums will spark to life sooner or later, its good to have some down time, ya know

But i enjoy the attention, tho and really do appreciate the 'Hellos' and 'Greeting' thingies

Although thats not even the grandest memories here. I remember the anticipation before munch was coming out, and when it did. We had people flooding in here about two years ago, including myself when I was a n00b. Then for the longest time it was good, then we had some rough times, then we had good times, and now we are here today...

Ok, thats my daily rambling.

I'm not camparing the memories of Steef with anything else.......Fajah just said he was watching the forums before he joined and I was asking if he watched us all going crazy over Steef. And.........I joined right before the news of Steef broke loose, so I haven't been here as long.

Still, at least I welcomed him to the forums. I am not imposing my opinion on anyone else, I am just offering it. Maybe in the hope of any misconceptions being settled.

It's not a sedition. We don't all eat soma. The forum won't vanish like mist in the light just because someone doesn't like a newb for whatever reason.
