Er, I already said I appreciated the difference, you really didn't need to say all that. I was just pointing out that the two entities currently share the same Forum.

About the separate sub-forum, I guess it can't really matter while the OIPT is offline that you share the same place. Is the Oddlympics expected to extend to beyond Oddworld 4's release date?

Yes. We're planning on keeping the Oddlympics going for a long while yet.

And yes, we did have to say all that, because there are alot of people getting confused. But not you specifically, so don't feel like you're getting told off or anything.

And err, Max for GD. I know we don't really get along, but you're a good member here. I don't think I need to like you to know you do a good job. Keep it up.

Yeah, that wasn't pointed at you in any way, Max. It's just that many, many other members have constantly been associating us with the OIPT, and frankly, it was pissing us off. I just had to say that somewhere.

Thank you for clearing that up Mac and Death. It is your guyses deal so if you want to seperate completely from the OIPT that is okay with me and probably Kai too. But we don't need seperate forums for the OIPT and Oddylimpics, mainly because right now neither is really doing anything for a while. Actually I'll be posting a stand alone Oddworld Interactive Poll soon... but other than that there hasn't and won't be much until OW4 comes out.

Anyways, good luck. I can't wait to see what you guys are planning. Your making such a big deal about it, that it better be cool.

if we have a sub non oddworld related rpg as a sub form for the role play game form i say hobo should be voted as mod for it since he likes makeing non related oddworld rpgs
so if a sub rpg form is made in the nearby future i vote hobo to run it all

I almost thought there were elections without me knowing when I saw all of these sigs and things. LOL

I haven't had a chance to talk things over w/ Alcar yet ... but one possibility I see in the future is that another GD mod is appointed. Currently myself and Alcar are listed as mods there, and we actually don't really post much there. So a more active GD member would be good to help Xav out (yes, I'm sure your position is safe there Xavier!). Possibly someone like Max, Paramiteabe or Oddsville. Also the Help forum for the same reason, and the Spoiler forum when it opens back up again. I also think that Red Muse would make a great RPG mod.

As for being a mod ... it can be good and bad. OWF is good cause it's only small ... so I usually just come on here every day and check posts even if I don't post. But I'm also Smod at a large forum (formerly Final Fantasy Extreme, now Gaming Extreme), and although I enjoy being a Smod and wouldn't give it up ... sometimes it can be a lot of work, as it's a large forum, so there are a lot of posts to look through, etc. So you do need to be someone that wants to do work. It's okay to say that you want to help people, etc ... but with power comes responsibility, and with responsibility comes work. Not everyone wants to work ... some people are better suited as normal members, as they like to have fun and things are more relaxed.

And actually I didn't even realize that OIPT and Oddlympics were separate. Maybe I'll have to change the forum name so that it makes it sound like they are separate. Any suggestions? Or maybe move them back to the main page, with a main forum (no posting allowed) called "Oddworld Interactive" (or something along those lines) ... and have two sub-forums there ... one for OIPT and one for Oddlympics. The only reason the OIPT forum was taken off the main page was because it was inactive and it looked bad having an open inactive forum on the main page. But w/ Oddlympics doing something I wouldn't have a problem with some kind of setup like that on the main page.

Yeah, don't take it personally or anything. All of you are really great, we'd just like to be our own thing.

Separate subforums would be great, Abe Babe. We plan to start the Oddlympics 2.0 in about a week and a half, though, so no rush.
