Earth Under Siege

My first non-oddworld fic, its about a war, in the year 2011, a virus was created, and these creatures break free, and well this species is created with supreme intellegence, and they make their own gun and the war begins.

It was sunny, scalding but peacful day in the countryside, or was it....Zeph awoke inside the trench of a dark cold day, which smelt of rotting corpses. "They're coming! Get down!" The huge bomb missed Zeph and Gerard, killing 3 other unlucky soldiers.
The lieutennet looked nervoulsy over the top with the periscope, "Machine gunner! Get those sonsa b*tches mowed down!" He armed the M-60 and fired, cutting down the creatures defences, they all seemed to go down at once. Then the entire human forces came, eliminating any dying creatures. The men came together. The captain and lieutennet laid down the plan. "OK, the left side is heavily defended, so we need a few snipers in there, Jackson and Zeph, you two will be the first to enter, the third platoon will attack this vulnerable party, the 564 Party will be fighting upwind, we'll join them, except for Company X, there duty is done, head to the bunker in the LRU, Move out!" The words cramped in Zeph's head, "C'mon, we only gots one chance."

Zeph and Jackson approached the area, staying in the tall grass and firey ruins, the creatures were everywhere armed with un-believeable weaponry, including a laser gatling gun. Zeph hurried up the grassy hill and got down before he was spotted. Jackson gave the signal and both of them opened fire.
The green blood was everywhere, it was a massacre.....but it wasn't over, the creatures, (I will refer to them as Gims) were still shooting as the army came from all directions. Nevertheless, they kept shooting, but the Gims were advancing on them, a huge ship appeared, shooting purple shots of burning light at the oncoming humans, they dived for cover as the huge fortress hovered over, three machinegunners fed their guns their bullets as one by one was a clean shot and also a failure to destroy it. Jackson got up and the laser shot him right in the torso, the sparks ignited within it's target, he dropped like a rock in the air. It was too late to retreive him, the Gims were advancing, but the humans were still fighting, trying to win at least one battle. "Hurry up, they'll be calling re-inforcements in here" We got out, knowing they lost another battle, but won't give up until the little grey creatures are extinct.

Could you possibly do a bit of backstory to tell us more about how this started?

ok, i'll do the backstory, all the characters in this are dead.

Sparv was a master at creating cures, viruses, etc. One day, that changed, "This is it, these little things will do great!" He even had Velociraptors in cages to prove how good he was of copying DNA off ones skull and create living tissue. Sparv was working on a new species, he went very slowly with the scalpal, a roar of the raptor put him off, "Shut up you ugly lizard!" The work became more intense, when he went for some coffee, he accidently knocked the 'Raptor Mind Syrup' into the one he was doing the 'Army Genesis'. "Oh no, no no no." He ran out as fast as he could, even the raptors were frightened, howling and roaring, one of the guards went to see, he opened the door, a strange raptor, human looking thing, there were 3 of them were looking at him, one of them shot the guard in the head, the creatures began creating more of themselves and making weaponry in the process. The guards at the front door were all gunned down, the creatures caused havoc in the mainlands, a few of them got on planes to UK, France, Germany, Asia, Russia and Japan.
Within 4 weeks, all of it was gone, all armies got in and fought as the creature multiplied and killed.

Then thats when chap.1 started.

well, i dont go on oddchat much, thanks for the compliment ferill. I'll continue from where it left off.

One by one, the soldiers entered the command complex with their hanging in shame, the General didn't look one bit suprised, "C'mon you sissies! We're getting beaten by an inferior race! We are the superiors here, so let's go!" They all ran like a bellowing Union Jack, red with rage, blue with worry, and white with bravery, they charged to the hills, armed with machine guns, rocket launchers, flamethrowers, plasma cannons the shabang! Tanks and jeeps came from the hills, helecopters and jet bombers from the air, hydrofoils and dreadnoughts patrolled the waters.

The Gims sat in a large group, some were sleeping, some were torturing men and women, then the loud noise of screams awoke them, "Voofa boya?" 5 Jet Bombers dropped bombs on the camp, "Fofa geguf!" Instantly battle began, Gims were being shot, crushed, banged, sliced, bayoneted, linished by trucks, Zeph and Heg got off the truck, out of the truck they pulled out a nuke, a BIG one, set the time limit to 2 minutes, the Squad leader shouted to everyone, "Now, MOVE! Everyone out now!" Everyone piled out, moved off the into the hills as far as they could. The Gims thought they won, they laughed and cheered, one went to the tent, saw a megaton bomb, he looked at the strange digits as they went...5....4....3....2.....1......0, BOOOOOOOOOOOOM! Then the humans returned the cheer as they won their first battle
