The farmer keeps 3 tenths of the fruit he produces, and the rest he gives to the shop. How many pears does the shop recieve from the farmer each year?

quarter of 10 = 2.5

doubled = 5

halved twice = 5/2 = 2.5, 2.5/2 = 1.25...
