Alien

Which Alein was your favorite? For me it was Alien and Alien3 Plus the SNES game was rather cool too. I dident really like when they made Alien Resurection. I thought that one took awey the spirit of the three films. Riply died the end where the computer shuts off. The end.

Perfect ending to one of the most horrific Science Fiction horror films of all time. The movie ends in such a dark disturbing way. When they made Alien Resurection it just was not the same as the first three. It was all such a happy ending in the forth one. I thought it was best to keep Riply dead. But I am not saying Alien Resurection was a bad movie I am just saying the first three were so much better in my opinion.

Like the cest Burster scene in the first one and also the famous scene with the Chains hanging in the chamber. That scene was awesome. Though I wounder what ever happened to that cat after Aliens. What was your favorite Alein?

Aliens was my favorite. But Alien was really good, too. Alien 3 I didn't care for... it was OK, but not great. Alien Ressurection just strayed too far from familiar ground. I didn't like it.

Aleins was definately the best, a great combo between action and sci-fi.

I like Alein and Alien 3 equaly, really. Alein Resurction was a half decent movie, but wel... wasn't as cool as it should have been. Could have been.

I have only seen Alien and Aliens.
I thought Aliens was far better because the first one gave me the feeling the movie was leading up to something the whole time, and then it ended. I don't really know why but when the credits rolled I was like, "That's it?"

First off you got to remember that Alien was made in a time when movies dident have all these computers to do the work. So everything you see in Alien is eather a miniture or a man in a costume. And a bunch of props and I can say they did an extrodinary job. Now Alien 3 was the earliest movie to introduce a type of computer animation. That one is rather different from the first two. Its rather disturbing how the Alien pregnates the dog in Alien 3. Its very wierd but sweet. The Rot wiler is like paceing back and forth as he just burst open and a sort of bull type Alien emerges.

i'm probably the biggest alien fan on the forums, so here is my 2 cents.

alien was with the best hands down. It had a excellent aline drone, of screen deaths, the chest burster of cause, and just the pur fear of the alien being there!

aliens comes in second place, it had the best action sceans since the police shoot out in the terminator, better looking alien drones, the queen, the power loader vs. queen fight, and the M41A pulse rifle, that thing rocked!!!!!!!

alien3 was very good, it had a runner alien, but was a desperate try at redoing alien, but without weapons or contact. It had more English actors in it which i liked to see, and the alien looked the coolest by far.

A:R (alien ressurection) crap crappity crap crap. It was a waste of money, crap aliens, crap, crap, i dont even know why they bothered, and the shit on top of it all was the newborn human alien, what was the bloody point of putting that, that, turd in the film. The director should be expecting a tapeworm and turd in the mail from me.

and there you have it, got any more questions? ask me.

You know tell you the truth I don't really think HR. Gigar worked with the men on Alien Resurrection. I think it was just a cheap way to selling the Alien property. So in my mind Alien Resurrection is and will alweys be sh*t. Alien 3 I know Giger did work on because in Alien 3 they wanted to bring to the screen what the production really wanted. Even with the success of Alien and Aliens, They knew they had the technology then to rework the creature to what their expectations were. Kind of like Return of the Jedi. Lucas was then able to create his dream through ILM with Jabba and all that. It was the same way with the Alien crew. Now they were able to make their monster to what they were dreaming of since the beginning. Its typical for in the world of cinama and art. Your not alweys satisfied with the first result. You alweys think you could make what ever it is better. And that happens a lot in Hollywood. May we live to not see the day if some joe shmo decides to make a fifth one. That would suck a ton!

Happy Gremlins

I know this is a bit straying from topic but I really think they should make a new gremlins movie. Not a gremlins three, not even a remake of the first one. Just another movie about the little creatures.

It would not be as corny as the originals. If done right it could be a very humorous, yet gruesome movie. I think the gremlins would look great if they were done in computer animation. The puppets of the first two films sucked.

I'm doing a report of H. R. Griger for art class this week. Just thought I'd tell you since the Alien movies were based on his artwork (in case you didn't know).

agh! damn you khanz! you stole my post about giger!

ah well.

I personally loved the first two gremlins movies, and thought the puppets were good enough for the time period in which they were made. I think any modern adaptations of the stories would be a metaphorical shit on the gremlins legacy.

As far as the aliens movies, I liked one and two the best.

Gremlins rock! But I don't think they should make anymore, it would ruin it.

I have always been a fan of sci-fi art. Especially the kreepy stuff. I have heard of this artist before. When I was a kid I used to play with Aliens action figures even though I hadn't seen the movies. I just liked what the aliens looked like. He has probably been a big inspiration on my artwork even though I didn't realize it until I saw this thread.
