Squaresoft and Xbox

Does anyone else want Squaresoft to make games for the Xbox?
I do, I cannot afford a PS2 after buying my Xbox and I love the Final Fantasy series. Kingdom Hearts is awesome too.
But so far they are not going to as Japan hates the Xbox because it's not made by them (Boohoo), and they can't disappoint their own country.
It's not possible to have a civilised conversation in the Squaresoft message board so I came back here to talk about it. You can't talk about them making games for both consoles there as they don't have the concept of such a thing.
What do you think?

Those darn people should. It would also bring more people over to X-Box, and hopefully make the best system last longer beause of all the Microsoft haters.

Ummm... What shoud I say about this...?

...I actually think Square should make a few games for Xbox.
Something LIKE Final Fantasy, but under a different title.

...So that every Billbox-*coughcough*-sorry- Xbox owner could get a taste of Square's talent.

(A small side note; I'm not a Microsoft-hater. I'm just being honest- so for those who found my words insulting; I'm not starting up a fight.)

I don't really know whether Square should make games for the Xbox. However they are now making them for Nintendo, so what the heck.

I'd love to see a Kingdom Hearts kinda game on the Xbox.

I used to wish that Square would release the FF games on Xbox. As my favorite 2 game series are Oddworld and Final Fantasy. So this meant that in the end I had to go and buy 2 consoles for 2 games (pretty expensive way to buy games, but well worth it).

So I guess now it's not as much of an issue to me than it used to be.

But generally, yes, I think they should. Although the Xbox has some great titles, it's missing the RPGs that the PS2 has. But maybe as Red Muse says, a Final Fantasy "like" game would be appropriate if they didn't want to put their #1 title on a non-Japanese console.

Although on what Alcar says about Nintendo ... anyone who knows a bit about FF/Square history will recall that Square originally left Nintendo for the PS for FFVII and there was quite a bit of tension between the two companies. I don't think anyone expected Square to go "back" to Nintendo. So, really, anything is possible with the Xbox thing.

I sooooooo wish that FF VIII came out on Xbox. It's my favourite Final Fantasy. And Kingdom Hearts is OK, I guess... Abit dissapointing about having Disney characters though.

How can FF8 be your favourite? It's magic system sucks! Materia all the way!
And that is on PSX, I was more meaning the ones that are on PS2. And even perhaps the one on GC.
