It still says "Oddworld Inhabitants" with the logo. Why? Aren't they just Oddmob now? But I'm liking it also, the fact that there's a lot of Abe pictures hopefully means that Abe will be involved in future games, eh?

I'm definitely confused as to why a fungus has grown from a seed.
So Oddworld Inhabitants and OddMobb must be separate, distinct, yet contemporaneous companies than just both happen to have Lorne and Sherry in them. Right?
"The spore of clarity" didn't have the right poetry about it (at least for the wider audience which my sentence will no doubt never reach, I myself have no problem with using spores and mould as happy similes), and the rather than the juxtaposition I desired for the metaphor, the outcome seemed a forgone conclusion.
Perhaps the seed was already infected. Or perhaps both the seed and fungus are not actually real.
Well we do seem to be discussing the mycological and botanical merits of what was essentially poetic flippancy in a topic about a near-vapourware website.
If Oddmob are separate, then I don't think their name should have "Odd" in the title. It implies that everything Oddmob do will possess an Oddness that is unique only to the Oddworld games, which is of course impossible since nothing could compare to the Oddworld stuff. See what I mean? Or did that only make sense in my own little head?

Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee was originally called "Soulstorm" before GT Interactive changed the name. I could be mistaken, but I think the company was called Oddworld before this, and Lorne had misgivings giving his company name to just one of their IPs.
If that is accurate information (I struggled to find anything that would verify or falsify my recollection), then the "Odd" in the name precedes the Oddworld games. The planet probably wasn't even called "Oddworld" before then (which if you think about it, is a weird name for one's native planet. It is as if some very self-aware social critics/satirists got to name the world before even "Ground" took off, like in most cultures.
That's because it's named after the deity that created the planet, Odd. You and I may interpret that as a synonym of 'peculiar', but remember this is a reality where 'Squeek' is a proper noun.
