2. Hating knowitalls isn't a point, it is an opinion. Don't tell me my opinion is wrong retard.

3. I am not stupid. Stupid people claim that they are intelligent. I don't do that at all.

4. You cannot control dreams until the stage where you are waking up and are just "daydreaming". Oh my god, you are even telling me how I should dream. How pathetic.

5. People who show that they can do nothing more than insult people are often hiding a lack of intelligence, due to the unwillingness to learn. Some people see learning as a sign of weakness. I see learning as a sign of strength.

REMINDER:

In this thread, users can rant about their own feelings and anger, but don't respond to what other users say unless they are in agreement. The idea is that people can post what they REALLY feel without having to worry about what others will say back to them.

I hate that shitty little band of fags "The Good Charlotte". What a load of total ****tards. I mean seriously, who tries to fit in with the punk trend, then sings about how gay it is fitting in to a trend?

I also hate people that talk about "The Good Charlotte" as though they aren't manufactured. Just because they have green/blue/leopard spot hair doesn't mean to say that they aren't just another group of posers.

So many shit bands out their today. So called "punk". And then there's so many followers of them, who all also think they're all "hardcore punk RAWWK!"

The radio is shit also. The only time I will listen to it is on a certain local station from 9:00 - 10:00, when they play some local bands. Other than that...ugh. Hate it.

I listen to the John Peel show over the internet. That is on from 10:00pm to 12:00pm GMT, on Radio One. You can get to that at the www.bbc.co.uk website.

There are waaaay too many crap bands about. And with them follows a wave of copycats, blindly travelling in the wake of their leaders like lemmings.

I have several comments here...

First off, Death. You seem angered at the fact that Reptile came along and mutilated your post. You said yourself at the beginning of this thread that people could come here to post what they hate, and not have to worry about getting a warning, or banned, etc...

Second off, I think personal insults towards people should definately be worded, in any way possible, to avoid conflict later on in other threads. Maybe I please pinpoint

I am a musician so the things that I hate most are these groups that make millions of dollars making soulless music that pitch straight to the demographic of 14 year old girls who are angry at their parents. Papa Roach, Korn, Limp Bizkit, Cold, Dashboard Confessional all fall into this category. It sickens me that bands that make truly revolutionary music cant even make enough money to support themselves. My favorite band is a band called Olivia Tremor Control. Their Black Foliage album is truly one of the greatest albums ever made. It makes Phil Specters wall of sound look like a flimsy cubicle. When they came to town on tour they slept in my basement because they couldn't even afford a hotel room. While it was a great honor it still saddened me deeply. To all of you who actually listen to the new cock rock please try to expand your horizons. Bands like dredg, radiohead, at the drive in, sparta, beulah, the affore mentioned OTC, neutral milk hotel, Of montreal, jeremy enigk. All these people are well worth their weight in gold. Please for your own sake check them out.

You see, to me "At The Drive In" just sounded like noisy crap. I didn't find any rythem or "music" in it. It wasn't even funny to listen to, it just gave me a headache.

But I do agree, there are alot of really shit bands out there. But don't blame Korn. Korn are THE revolutionary band. They started nu metal. And I love their twisted style, they never get tired or old, just like Nirvana.

I personally make drum & bass. I found this program ages ago on the net that lets you produce music really easy, its more of a game really. It was called frEQuency 99, and that got me into drum&bass. As I got into the scene more and more, I started wanting better tools so I could make real music.

Now I have Reason and Fruityloops and I make music as a full time hobby. I am really interested in getting my music out there, but I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE the ****ing music industry!

They don't care about the music! The only labels around that really like the music, are ones run by people like Goldie or DJ Hype, who worked to pioneer the scene.

So I am in total agreement, the music industry is indeed NOT made for the artists. It's made for snobbish businessmen that are only interested in money.

Well, total agreement with a few exceptions.

Korn was not revolutionary at all. They used to be a hair band until their label decided that wasn't working and created a new style for them. They are corporate shills without a shred of decency or inteligence. By the way At the drive in is one of the greatest bands of our time. Give it another listen. Try their Relationship of command album. The other ones take some getting used to.

I don't care where they came from. I have watched a documentary about them and how they got to where they are now, and as it turns out, they ARE revolutionary in heavy metal history.

I like the way their music sounds. I like it. I don't care who they are or where they come from, or if they genuinely do push out their music to disgruntled teenagers.

To me it's bands like Apocalyptica, Pitchshifter, RATM, Nirvana, and Nine Inch Nails. Their music all has ATTITUDE! And in the rock world, that's what it's all about!

Bands I like:

Korn, Apocalyptica, Rage Against The Machine, Pitchshifter, Atari Teenage Riot, Alec Empire, Jimmy Eat World, Type O Negative and Nine Inch Nails.

Artists I like:

Aphex Twin, Technical Itch, Decoder, D.Stien, Bios Sector 2b, Total Science and Asides...

Bands I hate:

S Club 7, TATU, Avril Lavigne, Papa Roach, Limp Bizkit, Steps, Pop Idol finalists, Girls Aloud, Justin Timberlake, Good Charlotte, Sum 41, Britney Spears, P Diddy, Missy Elliot, Mogwai, Slipknot, Stone Sour, the list goes on and on...

But generally I like music because of how it sounds. I am not into any "scene". Because "scene" is just a cooler way of saying "trend". Music is for listening, its not for philosophy, metaphore and deeper meaning.

Music should be liked because it sounds good. There isn't any point in listening to someone putting a microphone in a blender and saying "wow dude, what a message", "yeah man, this definately has deeper meaning". pop music yes. There is a lot of great music out there. It is not on the radio. Also every generation since the beginning of rock has been plagued with awfull music. Ours is not an exception. And death you obviously don't understand. Music is a sum of all its parts. I do not listen to bands with intelligent lyrics if the music is redundant or bad. Just as I won't listen to bands with ignorant lyrics. Who the hell said anything about a blender and a message. I like intelligent music. Not pretentious music. I can also guarantee you that I get more enjoyment from music then you ever will. Music is my first love.

Since the dawn of mankind, humans have enjoyed art because it is nice to look at, and music because it is nice to listen to.

People pretend that they understand some kind of "higher meaning" in music because they think it makes them look more intelligent and upper class. They couldn't be more wrong. It makes them look like pretencious, snobbish, stuck up weiners that are stuck in some kind of strange posh-person-rutting-season.

People aren't stupid just because they like art and music for what it is, they just know how to have a better time than you do, that's all...

I am a musician myself, and I produce music for people to have a good time to, and for people to enjoy. Sure there is a metaphoric meaning in my music, and it does tell a story, but that is only so that I can make a music video that makes sense.

Music is all about opinion, preferance, and sound. It's about what turns us on, and what gets us going. Some music gets us moving, some music sets the imagination wild, and some music gives us goosebumps.

Music is the soundtrack to emotion. Sometimes you hear a peice of music that reminds you so much of a certain event, that it makes you wonder why it wasn't playing in the background at that time.

Music is like words. Words that speak with experience of places, objects and emotions, without even having to be there. Because music doesn't need to be in a certain time or place, it can be directly influenced by how people feel.

Sound follows action, action follows emotion, emotion follows experience. Music is like that experience, it can control our imagination in different ways, and it can control our emotion.
