woahs quite late, but

:
Fable Pros:
Quite entertaining,
Brought some new concepts,
Fairly balanced,
Nicely built world,

Summary: Engine is ok and it's fairly good RPG, but it could be better.
this says absolutely nothing about the game's engine. you just listed features of the two games like a sort of very brief review and then said "yeah, engines. yep".

i think what you're trying to say is that you liked fable more than you liked oblivion, lol

Yeah, the game play should not be typical swarm-and-storm style. Maybe if it was more like Tropico that sort of combined management and action.
Oddworld Tropic as a management game would kick ass, huge fan of tropico and oddworld anyone played tropico 3? haven't had a chance to pick up a copy and want to know if its worth the buy. Also has there been a book realse of the storys of oddworld? if not why not? I love the storylines of Oddworld. And an MMORP would be pretty sweet if it was done with extreme care to not turn into one of the games that suck all the fun out of playing them.

We were talking about it a little in Non-Oddworld gaming. Apparently, it's great. I just hope it's retained much of the original's atmosphere and humor.

A book release would be nice, but I don't there's really enough story from the games themselves to make good books out of them. Maybe as a graphic novel. I would love an OW graphic novel. Even if books were made, they would probably only be popular within the fanbase, much like Starwars and Star Trek novels.

Just referring back to the conversation about the Shrykull in 3D, possibly even in Munch's Exoddus, there is concept art from Munch's Oddysee on TOGG that looks like the Shrykull.

Here it is...

ANY Oddworld game being released would be a small miracle by itself...if said game was any GOOD, i would consider that a bonus...

Personally, the idea of having a big hoard of sligs or mudokons that you move around via point and click is just very unappealing.
This.

Steering off-topic a bit, but Munch's Oddysee was quite a let down. Great characters, environments etc but it felt like a average platformer with gamespeak at times. Maybe I was led on by a lot of the awesome concept art and beta videos. It could have been so much more. It just felt a bit rushed. I just hope that the next Oddworld is something more than (insert game genre here) with Oddworld characters.

1. Maybe they considered changing the soul rings into auras around Abe for the 3D games and that's why you can't see anything in the sphere.
2. What's "Electric Dose"?

He means "The electricity [in that image] does [look like that given off by Shrykull]".

Ouch it's like we're suddenly back in 2002... but your point still holds

When Munch's Exoddus comes around, Sam (the Mudokon Queen) is sure to play a pivotal role in its storyline. At least, that's my suspicion, as in the Perfect Quarma ending of AE the Weirdos say "and don't worry about finding you're long lost Mudokon mother, you'll have to meet up with Munch before you can do anything about that" (or words to that same degree).

That was the assumption back when Sam ended up not being in MO and ME was, as far as we knew, the next game to emerge from OWI. Then SW came along, and LL ruled out a return to the Quintology before a marked improvement in gaming technology. I think the first we'll see Sam is an MO feature film.

I'd be happy to see any Oddworld-based game... To be honest. Shooter? RPG? Whatever, it would just be fun to play in that environment again.
