Me and my dad watched Eaters, a zombie film from none other than Uwe Boll. It was garbage. I didn't expect anything from it but it was still worse than I expected.

Spartacus: Blood and Sand

Utter maddness is a good way to describe it. It's overly dramatic, very gory, explicit. But by god is it brillent.

On a bad note, I've just found out the main star Andy Whitfield died September last year. Which really puts you in a downer since he was only just becoming a good actor.

Worth buying? I saw it in HMV yesterday and I was tempted.
If it was cheaply priced, I would say definitely.

Wicker Man for the first time

whoa pretty obscure and wicked. normally I can't stand musicals, but this one convinced me, even if there were only some musical elements. also hard to put the film into a genre, a mixture of crime thriller, horror and musical I'd say.

I was talking about the ORIGINAL film, not nicolas cage

Never saw the Nicholas Cage one, but I saw the original and loved it!

The ending shocked me!

Saw the new Mission Impossible film last night. Fell asleep for about an hour, and didn't really like what I saw. The last scene did have a lot of nice cleavage though. Which really distracted me from the lame acting/scripting.

Also Brad Bird did some good directing but it didn't really save the film much. I got pretty excited when I saw A113 on the girl's ring though. that was cool.

If you fell asleep in the middle, then you missed the best part. Everything after the Burj Khalifa scenes is downhill.

After my atom bomb dream I spent about 40 minutes watching various explosions...then I felt like playing fallout...eventually I found this amazing little cartoon about an elderly couple coping with a nuclear holocaust, it's got a bit of black humour but it's a lovely little thing. I do suggest you watch it if you have a spare 80 minutes.

Apparently the graphic novel is pretty sad as well. It's just...I dunno, I imagine it's how a lot of people would go.

It's classic, the same guy who did The Snowman not that I can abide that, but nevertheless, it's sort of charming I suppose.

The Snowman is amazing, but even better is Granpa; the other far less famous Dianne Jackson book to cartoon adaptation. It takes the theme of The Snowman and runs wild with it.

It was never released on DVD though and hasn't been on tv for many years, so I'm fairly sure only British people around my age and older (And probably Chris too) know of it.

They didn't show it this year, or any of the good Christmas movies. Usually they would air Scrooged, A Christmas Story, The Snowman, A Muppet Christmas Carol, etc. All they ran this year was fucking Polar Express. Oh, and several terrible, made-for-tv affairs, often starring no less than two washed-up, ex-sitcom idols who took a hiatus from their jobs working in studio toll booths to bring us such gems as "Santa Baby 2" and "Holiday In Handcuffs".

Of course, I already own all of my favorite Christmas movies, so this rant was meaningless.
