Clearly you're confusing the children's book with the epic narrative by Tsung Tsu.

Just watched The Unborn. A decent slice of modern horror. Had some great scares and some very Silent Hill-esque demons. Some of the scenes were genuinely creepy, though the atmosphere and build-up hardly leaves you open to any jump scares. Good use of wetas and other such bugs for added creepy-crawliness. They also get points for using legitimate folklore without exaggerating it for the sake of making a movie out of it.
Cons include the cookie cutter characters, the main character being the typical 20-something-year-old Mary Sue girl with a perfect tan from upper middle class suburbia, her forgettable boyfriend whose wardrobe was stolen off a mannequin from American Eagle, and of course, the obligatory ethnic best friend. Vulgar overuse of the "blue filter" you see on horror films these days, there was nothing that wasn't blue I swear... Forgettable soundtrack rife with diluted atmospheric synths, etc.

Gary Oldman had a cameo as a rabbi who performs the girl's exorcism. An underwhelming performance on his part, but then again, his character was pretty boring too.

I saw The Devils Rejects again. BUT FIRST A STORY
I met Sid Haig at a comic book convention in Toronto about 15 months ago, not walking around, he was just a celebrity horror dude who had a booth. (Along with Henry Winkler, That girl from Saw, the guy who voiced Chucky, and some other dude.) So I got in line to talk to him I can't remember exactly how I opened the conversation, but I asked him if Rob Zombie was batshit insane to work with and he said he wasn't, he was a pretty calm, down to earth dude, and we puked conversation back at each other and I went to tell my friend who was standing out of the line "Hey look I shook Sid Haigs hand" and my friend pulled my arm up and high fived it and I turned around and Sid Haig was watching and I was like 'stupid, stupid, stupid.'
But there was this kinda odd way he responded to my questions about The Devils Rejects, and I realized why.
The Devils Rejects opens with Sid Haig being half naked talking to a big fat lady he had sex with. So I guess Sid Haig thought "Wait a minute this kid saw that."
Or not.
Still, one of my favorite movies.

Brad Dourif is fucking awesome. Don't pigeonhole him as nothing more than the voice of Chucky or I will have to rape you over and over again. >:V

Oh, man. Now I wish I went to that convention.
Doug Bradley (aka Pinhead from the Hellraiser series) made an appearance at a small, local convention and was met with almost zero attention from anyone besides myself. I felt sorry for him, and hung out with him for the duration of the convention. Just as well, there was no one else of interest there, save for Lou Ferrigno and Ray Park (Darth Maul/Headless Horsemen/Toad).

You beat me to it. I was going to bitch slap him for calling him "That guy who voiced Chucky". He was also Billy fucking Bibbett, Piter Devries, and a shitload of other awesome characters.

Goddamn you for meeting Brad Dourif, and not even caring. Goddamn you.

Another new American Dad!, and I have a new favorite Roger quote. Pretending to be a psychiatrist, he tries to counsel Stan and Francine's marriage issues, but starts shouting at Stan. 'I'm sorry, that wasn't very professional. I've beeen having some issues with another patient. A complex man; he's a teenage drug addict who's being molested. By me.'

I was reading Wikipedia the other day, and ever since King of the Hill's cancellation, The Simpsons is the only non-Macfarlane animated show running on Fox.

Pfft, cry more babies. I didn't meet him. I saw him. And NOBODY was lining up to meet him. HAW HAW HAW.

Saw the new Stark Trek, was impressed.

EDIT: And he looked really sad too.

It is essentially the Macfarlane night featuring The Simpsons. It really saddens me, as KotH was a great show.

Indisputable proof that the human race deserves extinction.
... or at the very least, the entire population of Toronto.

As for The Simpsons, it had a good run but is on it's last legs, and thank god too because they could not milk that teat any harder if they tried.

Groenig says he sees no reason to stop and the show has been more creative than ever. Yeah, just go work on Futurama some more, Matt. That's enough for us.

Groenig is full of crap.
This is The Simpson's last season, though there are two more films in the works. Personally, I did not care for The Simpsons movie. It came like 10 years too late, and the whole film was just a poorly written mass of recycled jokes, money-making ploys, and pop culture references.

It still stands that Family Guy started off as a complete rip-off of The Simpsons and sought to become successful by riding it's coat-tails. It has since gone in a new direction and started doing it's own thing, which ironically, made it even worse.

Though I don't care for American Dad, it has considerably better writing than Family Guy or that turd The Cleveland Show, which for the record, was not made because Seth had hilarious ideas that needed to be expressed in a new show, he simply wanted more money.

I will never get over how the last one totally butchered the series simply by existing.

The second one was the worst, but the third was by far the most disapointing. It was better than the second, but not by much. Plus they totally lost the plot.

It looked like a terrifying stop-motion field day for furries. Convince me to see it.
