King of the Hill's strength lies in just how cleverly subdued it's humor is. Unlike most animated sitcoms, the characters feel like they could actually exist, which is what makes it all the more hilarious when they do something outrageous.

That's exactly the thing. I got tired of the whole slapstick approach to cartoons, and I thought that the humour in what I watched yesterday was a lot more subtle and actually much funnier than things I've seen in cartoons in the past.
I also think that the visuals are very good. I saw
Beavis and Butthead a while ago, and didn't like it that much, but I thought that its aesthetic was much more interesting to watch than what I've seen previous to watching it (with the exception of
Ren and Stimpy).
