What was Oddworld like in Prehistoric times -

well yes the big bang. oddworld is a very large planet i think it to be 10 times the size of earth (i think) it is very amazing how we just scratched the surface of oddworld. we are only aware of Mudos but as we know there are many more continents and a lot more land.

Officially, the Oddworld is ten times larger than our own Earth, but in what way we're not sure - it could be in diameter, surface area or mass among other things. Of course, this knowledge of Oddworld's size brought about a lot of controversy over the Oddworld map that Alf supplied us with. Strangely enough, I could spot several mistakes on it, but not that one. Ho hum.

Yes, Oddworld is a big place for us to explore, with lots of lands, waters, skies and times for us to explore. Let's just hope we get more sinister little quips about Oddworld's history.

Thank you Max. The history of Oddworld is unclear at this moment something that we have noticed is that oddworlds evolution concept is backwords to earth as birds evolve into reptilians in earths case is the opposite. Its very interesting.

good question kleeng. well in our history birds evolved from dinosaurs to be more precise the ceolorsuars. what i was trying to point out is that our history is backwards to Oddworlds.

well i would say all the creatures of oddworld came from the swamps. then we had the evolution of the mammal like Oddworldians and the birds who later evolved into Mudokons. (im not sure this is a very crude theory) im not sure what the Muds believe so i wont answer that one.

yes General that is how it must have started. as with our history scientist believe that life started out as little bacteria that began to multiply into things like ameba's (however you spell that) and kept on evolving.

One last thing before I go on vacation.

Anyone notice the skulls on the walkways in Necrum? They are HUGE (compared to Abe's head). This means that in the past, mudokons were much larger.

I dont think the entier evolution of odd world is backwards other wise the big animalls would slowly evolve into single cell organisms. Not verry likely.
Some things would seem the wrong way around but thats becous we live on earth. we are used to the idear birds came from reptiles. For oddworldians this idear would seem bizzar and the wrong way around.

Oddworld evolution is different and the bacwards thing is onely a point of view.

Evolution has created entierly diffent groups of animalls on oddworld then on earth. Things that cant be compared to things on earth, like fuzzles, they cant be placed in any kind of animall group we know. This is probably the case for all the creatures on oddworld.

So the birds we talk about could turn out not to be birds at closer inspection, they could be cold blooded, Have feathers that are more scales then feathers, etc. And in sutch a case the logical step could be to evolve into "reptiles".
Besides the mudokens look reptilian but they probably are wharm blooded thus he isn't a reptile in our sence of the word.

most of your reply makes sense, but what i was trying to point out is that the evolutionary highway that Oddworld has taken is some what or is very different to earth. This does not mean that cromozone creatures will turn back to single celled organizms it is plainly saying that the pattern is different. I may be wrong but the birds you are addressing are clarified to be birds (i think) and i do not believe Mudokons to be cold blooded. Trust me i study Paleontology. The dinosaurs werent cold blooded at all because they had the ability to control there own body temperture. So just because you are a reptile it does not necessarelly mean you are cold blooded.

I dot think mudokens are cold blooded either, I think the probaly are warm blooded considdering their active lifestyle.
What I am trying to point out is that bacwards is a relative term, gett of the beaten track, don't think in earth terms think in oddworld terms (what ever those may be).

Well you see i dont know how else to put it. but if you think as OWI did, i would still say there concept of Oddworld at one point must have been to make it completely opposite of earth.
