Who gets what parts depends on who's online during filming day. :P But I guess Splat gets first dibs on Mullock since he asked first - Though all anyone has to do to play him is slowly look around and nod, based on his actions from the original Abe intro FMV.

I think we all lag a bit, since we're all connecting to a private server.

Alright. Viewing the youtube video of the conference room I note the following:
We need a total of 8 actors for the boardroom scene (and 1 extra if we still want abe looking in from outside).
1x Slig
1x Molluck
6x Boardroom glukkons (from left to right: light blue, beige/pink, normal blue, light blue, green, medium shade purple)
1x Abe

Any ideas how the scene with Abe pushing a big cleaning machine can be done?

So that's 10 people (you forgot to count a cameraman). We're more than capable of that.

Ench, M_M and I naturally lag heaps more than the rest of you guys given that we have to connect from halfway around the world. I would expect our movements to be really, really jerky.

@ Alexfili - I worked it out a while ago and I have been saying for some time now that we need 9 people for the boardroom scene, not including myself 'cause I'll be filming the thing. Since it doesn't take very long at all to change skins, roles will be assigned on the day depending on who lags less and who is available.

I've played around with things ages and ages ago and have worked out how to do the scene where Abe pushes the floor scrubber around the boardroom (I plan to film that bit next - To play him for this part, I'll need someone who doesn't lag, is prepared to listen to me carefully, who also has a high attention to detail). He'll push a powered Minecart since it wouldn't match with the audio if he pushed nothing - I'll be using a texture pack for the posters anyway, and it's possible to make tracks invisible. Carts move diagonally over tracks with lots of curves, so it shouldn't look too terrible.

Movement speed may be an issue, so later I'll be playing around with a machinima mod which can reduce movement speed with commands.

As for when the Boardroom scene will be shot - I don't know yet, perhaps sometime during the next 2 weeks. I need to finish the projector graphics first. That shouldn't take too long though.

Okay then, I'll be more than happy to be a minor Glukkon. Good thinking too, with turning the tracks invisible. All this week and next week will be perfect for me.
However, I'm going away for Christmas holidays the week after that for a few weeks so I was hoping we could get it done before then. Of course, don't rush. If I miss out, I miss out. I'd just prefer not to.

I think some people will be busy for christmas. We may have to just film the other cutscenes first (like the one where the mudokons are around the campfire, or molluck throwing abe into the grinder)

I only plan to film the AO intro and nothing more. After that is finished, I'll be working on making RF an adventure map - Which was my original plan in the first place. Filming the AO intro is only being done because it's something that seemed feasible - And maybe it'll promote the adventure map when it's finally finished a few months from now.

But yeah, looks like I'll have to get my finger out and hurry up with those graphics - Getting 9 people online at once though for an hour or two at a pre-arranged date shouldn't be too hard to ask for though, in theory.

As long as the pre-arranged date isn't the 25th of December.

It would be cool to do some other cutscenes too, if opportunity arises. But yeah, I'd say see how this goes first, get on with the original plan, and maybe do it later once the work is done. There are few-if-any that could be done without more building.

it would be cool to add music from rapture farms to this map in minecraft map make more like oddworld.

Since you won't get to see this much detail in the finished graphic... This is shown at the side of the projector when it displays profit graphs. I re-created it in photoshop by overlaying screenshots of the original AO video and using my imagination... (except for the Glukkon head, that's taken from a large PNG of the Rupture Farms logo) I still wonder what those other symbols mean. Different species? Consumers?



EDIT: Oh yeah, I can't find a good enough image of the original (mudokon head impaled on a stick) Mudokon Pops graphic, so the new (cartoonised lollypop) version will have to do.
