Opinions differ greatly on what is "nerdy", and even if they didn't there'd be no point. We'd just feel like dicks (or at least I would).

I suggest the Flat Earth Society (thanks, BM for reminding me). I am very interested in how they think people can travel to other countries if they think that horizons mark the end of the world.
Essentially they use a lot of made-up and contradictory physics which is oh-so-believable because real scientists are all in the employ of the roundworld conspiracy, for which they still can't decide on a motive that doesn't involve working for the devil.

Huh, I thought all the Flat-Earth forums were run by trolls now anyway?

Once again, picture in your mind a round world. Now imagine that there are two people on this world, one at each pole. For the person at the top of the world, (the North Pole), gravity is pulling him down, towards the South Pole. But for the person at the South Pole, shouldn't gravity pull him down as well? What keeps our person at the South Pole from falling completely off the face of the "globe"?
Another reason why I vote the Flat Earth Society. This is the one of the most stupid parts of all. Where the fuck do they think the gravity's coming from? What the hell is there below the Earth that could possibly pull us down? Nothing. Fucking imbeciles.

:
In the small town of Grass Roots, MO, one of our members has successfully infiltrated the public education system. By being hired on as a teacher in the district, she was able to gain a foothold that has allowed us to "replace" nearly every lower grade teacher in the entire town with loyal Flat Earthers. The students are now undergoing deprogramming measures and are expected to be released when they reach their mid-thirties.
This had better be a fucking joke.

What am I saying? This had ALL better be a fucking joke. Just you dare tell me that these idiots don't deserve being mildly inconvenienced.

Something's telling me to laugh, but something's telling me to feel incredibly angry and wound up. I have to stop reading this shit.

Flat-Earthers don't believe in gravity (at least not on Earth, since that would cause the Earth's disk to collapse into a sphere), so they insist that for all time the Earth has been rushing upwards and accelerating at a rate of 9.8 m/s² to simulate gravity. Why? Good question, they're not exactly known for providing explanations, only asserting that science is both wrong and conspiring against them, though dark energy seems to be a popular "explanation" recently. Similarly for the causes of the phases of the moon (a shadow cast by an object undiscovered and undetectable by science). They don't even seem to recognise the distortion of distances in the southern latitudes caused by their model. I mean, look at it.

The real exact distance between Auckland, New Zealand and Santiago, Chile is 6011 miles, but on this map the same course would be between 20,000 – 30,000 miles. When asked, a real Flat-Earther us unable to hear the question.

I despair. I really do. It's unbelievable that such people walk this (very spherical) Earth. Arguing that the Earth was flat just sounds like something someone might do to cause a bit of controversy if bored. I cannot believe that these people are for real.
