Yay, it seems Michel Ancel is staying true to his word. I was there during Video Games Live in London 2006 (VERY special thanks to Middlesboogie, I really owe her for that) - The music from Beyond Good and Evil was played on a live orchestra.
He came out afterwards with the sound designer and they both had an interview with the dude who was presenting VGL and said there and then on the stage that he wanted to make another one. . .
It's a shame the BG&E is so underated and that many people just seem not to be able to get into it. I guess it's 'cause it's either really glitchy for them or the style is too weird at first.
Middlesboogie showed it to me originally, so I bought the game for the PC and loved it so much that I showed it to as many people as I can. I think I've completed it almost as often as I've played Abe's Oddysee - It's one of those games that you can re-play over and over again.
Heck I've completed it so much that I'm 55 on the worldwide high-score list (and I could get more but I can't be bothered, 55 is good enough for me):
And I even named my old (mid to late '06) Warcraft guild after the Alpha Sections (
Screenshot - "Promo Poster"). And it was quite popular too until we all reached 60 and couldn't work out how to raid effectively. :S
So of course I'm pleased about Ancel making a sequal, even if Ubisoft aren't co-operating with him yet. Perhaps the fanbase can pesaude them. . .

Glad to see that Pey'j still lives and that he has the same voice actor, it seems. =P
