What would you like to see in the book?

Nate, I already knew the company was based in Adelaide That's why the American's should get it cheaper, as our Dollar isn't as strong as I'd like it to be. Although, I might even be able to grab myself a copy on my very long vacation to Western Australia (where I'll travel through South Australia).

Actually, they have a rough estimate for when the book will be released. And other dates, for other special things.

Additionally, it was a shame the book wasn't ready for Siggraph. I'm sure that would have helped boost sales, not to mention the definate that Lorne or Sherry would be there to autograph the books

No! I'm just saying it would have been better in the book's sales interests if it was released at Siggraph. Oddworld Inhabitants have said that it is coming out of their pockets completely, so any additional earnings or advertisement is good

you are right... but I guess the book will have a good advertising campaign, especially if all the fan sites and fans made their own advertising for it

Yeah. I'm not sure if I'll be advertising for the book. I've always been against putting advertisements on Oddworld Universe and the forums, and this view has been shared strongly by Abe Babe as well. I know I won't be gaining any profit from it, so more than likely I will place something up.

Whether or not we place something on the forums is an entirely different matter. One I will have to discuss with Abe Babe.

I was contacted first about advertising from OWI. That's why I e-mailed Ballistic Publishing.

If I would've have known how strongly Abe Babe felt about no-ads on her site...

Oddguy, I'd say Abe Babe would be more than happy to advertise for Oddworld. I was more referring to advertisements that earn people money, like Google Adsense, etc.

I would make it my duty to advertise the book. Anything for OddBlog to counter those Blogger ads up top. At least they invariably point towards Oddworld stuff. However, I didn't realise we were sharing this little surprise with everyone.

Alcar will never share. I've tried all manner of subtle and manipulative methods. All you'll ever get is a "Never!" However, the fact that we were enlightened that there is something 'Top Secret' means it is our duty to find out.

I wouldn't email again. I wouldn't want to irritate Mr Snoswell. Maybe if the book is suddenly released and we haven't been told anything, that would be a good time to strike.
