The Red Hot Chili Peppers, but not for most of their mainstream songs:
I shall choose.
1.) Venice Queen (a tribute to their drug helpey person who died of cancer, without which the band would be in a much worse state, lovely song, with lovely lyrics)
2.) My Lovely Man ( A tribute to another dead guy who helped form the band but OD'd on heroin, much more noisy and fun than Venice Queen)
3.) (Normally it'd be under the bridge, but as I've got 2 meaningful songs, I'm going for something loud and random) Nevermind ( A loud jumpy, short song just to remind you who they are)
Must also commend these songs for being cool, but not cool enough:
Under The Bridge (pretty)
Give It Away ( Insane random song about stuff, very fun to listen to)
Fortune Faded (Live only though, studio v. is crapola)
Pretty Little Ditty (nice instrumental that just chills you out)
Around The World (Best Bass Intro EVER)
And Their Cover Of Black Cross by .45 Grave off their Live IN Hyde Park Album (Insane Metal.punk crossbread with lots of stuff)
EDIT:
:
And I still don't understand this whole "Muse" craze... I've heard Hysteria multiple times, and am relatively familiar with it. The song has a horrible chorus, and the riff gets old after the second listen. Surely, that song isn't one of the pinnacles of their creativity and rocking abilities?

I agree, I'm going off muse a bit, i don't know what it is about them but there's something that doesn't put them up there with Hendrix, RHCP and Guns N Roses in my opinion. And the fact that Matt scream alot and some of the songs are criminally bad (I'm looking at you Ruled By Secrecy)
