You could probably do it, even with an old sound card.
The only problem is, Sound Recorder only records up to 60 seconds at a time. I am still yet to see if another program I got with my sound card will do it. . .
Anyway, what you do, is stick your microphone next to the speaker, open your recording program, and then press record, and then go into AO/AE and start recoring stuff. Expect the wave file size to be large when you come back, though, depending on how long you record for. After that, you will need to edit the long wave file afterwards, to get all the sounds out of it.
However, you probably don't have the right software to do that. You can't edit wave files properly in Sound Recorder.
