Oddworld sound bytes
Is there a site whre i can get Oddworld mp3, wav, or wma files? If so PLEASE TELL ME! thank you.

They're kinda crappy, those are. However, I have found a way to record sounds off of Abe's Exoddus. I dunno how many sounds I can capture, but I'll give it a try. . .

You could probably do it, even with an old sound card.
The only problem is, Sound Recorder only records up to 60 seconds at a time. I am still yet to see if another program I got with my sound card will do it. . . Anyway, what you do, is stick your microphone next to the speaker, open your recording program, and then press record, and then go into AO/AE and start recoring stuff. Expect the wave file size to be large when you come back, though, depending on how long you record for. After that, you will need to edit the long wave file afterwards, to get all the sounds out of it. However, you probably don't have the right software to do that. You can't edit wave files properly in Sound Recorder. - DH |
I have some Oddworld sounds in Italian! They sound really different! Abe's voice is really deep.
You just need to get a wave recorder that isn't the standard Windows recorder. I think there are some free ones out there. I was always going to do it myself... but never got around to it. Abe Babe... |
