I don't think they'd stay in one area, but from what I've read and come to understand they won't be traveling to the opposite end of the planet within the quintology. Oddworld's supposed to be massive, so I'd assume the scale the quintology covers won't be that large on the grand scale of things. It seems like the quintology will be something that focuses more on the culture of that region and the places surrounding it, which would have world wide consequences yeah, but not any further than that?
If you can refer me to some place where I can better read up on things in case I'm completely mistaken, just link me. And, regardless, even if they did travel far, I'm not interested enough nor invested in the characters to care where they end up.
e- Also, obviously I know there are going to be more characters than Abe and Munch, and they'll be getting more development because that's how stories work, but those characters haven't been introduced yet. I do not currently care for the quintology because of what I've seen of it up to now, main characters involved not catching my interest, and what I currently know about the quintology does not interest me enough to see where it ends up.
However, what I've seen of individual stories on their own (literally just Abe's and Stranger's stories. Munch doesn't count because it felt more like a continuation of Abe's story with the introduction of his quirky bouncy burping sidekick frog) makes me desperately crave new content from OWI focusing on a new character in a separate story with no ties to the previous characters introduced, in an environment we weren't even aware existed on Oddworld.
Like I said in a previous post: "The next installment of the quintology would need to be absolutely mind blowing for its story to be of any interest to me personally."
