It was going to use the Munch’s Oddysee game engine (A.L.I.V.E. 2), which ended up being a lot less powerful/awesome than they wanted, as we all know. It wouldn’t have supported Hand of Odd.
And after MO, the first thing OWI wanted to do was release an Munch’s Oddysee to make up for all the gameplay and story that MO was missing. But at some point Lorne changed his mind and wanted to do something not involving the more familiar characters and being a lot more in line with the modern popular gaming experience.
