I loved it every since I got blue, as my generation did, we were obsessed.
and still are unfortunatly, at a boarding school boot camp (Glengarry) our year had to go to last year, since we have laptops, we all played pokemon, I was the one who was like, I'm too mature and cool for this, but then I gave in. We all played fire red and leaf green, since it reminded us of our memories of childhood, and for the novelty of being too old for playing it.
Then some of us took it too far, and started playing the theme song, lol.
I've played all of them except for all of the puzzle and ds ones, which I might buy a ds for, might being the key word, for if anyone found out, I'd be socially dead, lol.
The series however is realy running out of ideas in terms of pokemon, I mean seriously, half of the r/s ones are rip offs of the orginals, and most of the latest ones, are evolved versions of previous ones, as well as some of the new ones bing as ridculous as gas balls.
I want to know though, are they worth getting? If not for feeling like I'm in primary school again? (I'm in yr 10 now).
and how can you? Alot of the pokemon have almost identical cries? or at least the originals anyway, lol.

Worth it. With wi-fi, Pokemon Diamond and Pearl are pretty much the penultimate Pokemon games. Wonder if it can get any farther than this.
If you're worried about social issues, don't be. If people are sad enough to change their opinion of you that much because of a god damn video game, don't have such morons as friends, and tell them to screw off. Seriously.
I don't see why people see more new Pokemon as a bad thing. Gives you more choice for decent teams. I didn't ever really bother catching them all, just used cheats for the sake of the data.
And in Diamond and pearl, you don't need to catch them all, just see them (that is, for the bonuses from the professor), though they still need catching for proper data, so it doesn't take that novelty away so much for hardcore dements that do try to catch them all.
I can recognise a Pokemon purely by the cry it makes. And that includes the new D/P ones already too.
Yes, I'm quite sad. And I don't care.
