P...p...pokemon *sigh*
Just kidding, Hate the show, like the games
how many of you have Diamond or Pearl, anywho? I got Diamond for my B-day from my friends. They're rather into Pokemon. *cough*obsessed*cough* ANywho, contact me with your friend code if you have it. I've just been dying to check out that voice chat feature. I've always liked the pokemon games. They're on of the only RPG's I'll play through, aside from Zelda, which is kind of an RPG. What about you guys. |
I'm a hardcore Poke'mon fan myself.
I'm trying to create the ultimate 3 Poke'mon team right now. If you ever wanna battle, hit me up. Player: Tide FC: 1847-8197-1747 |
I like pokemon to and have caught a Mewtwo in my FireRed version
|
I'll buy diamond because its slightly manlier, even though Peral has what is essentially a pink mecha-godzilla on the cover.
I may actually buy one, though. (Nonus to whoever gets the reference in that first two lines.) |
Now i have nothin to do in my game cause i beat it
|
Sell it, EB games will give you 27$ trade in value on it.
I made a cool profit buying mario kart DS and Pokemon diamond without cases, and then I sold them and made 50 bucks. Their combined value was 32$ when I bought 'em. |
I have Diamond, but haven't played it in months, since there's nothing to do there anymore.

You just have to know.
They buy Pokemon games for more then anything else, its proven fact. Call your local EB, ask for the prices and the following games. Pokemon Saphire, Ruby, Fire Red, Leaf Green, Diamond and pearl. Find these games at used game stores, they proabably cost less then what EB will give for them. Shell out 50 Bucks to buy a bunch, then trade them in, you could make double what you spent. Never try to sell something that costs less then 35$ there, you'd be wasting your time. |
IMHO, Pokemon COULD be a good basis for a gaming universe.
HOWEVER, the show sort of ruined it for me. |
Lovin the Pokemon Vibe! I hadn't played on it for a couple of years until my slightly less mature friend (ahem...) told me he had the new one. Since then I've been a bit of a Pokemaniac...
...I'm soooo cool... |
:
Blaziken FTW. I have to say, I may have played them overly a tad much...I can pretty much recognise every single Pokemon purely be listening to it's cry...yes I am quite, quite sad, and I don't care. |
I loved it every since I got blue, as my generation did, we were obsessed.
and still are unfortunatly, at a boarding school boot camp (Glengarry) our year had to go to last year, since we have laptops, we all played pokemon, I was the one who was like, I'm too mature and cool for this, but then I gave in. We all played fire red and leaf green, since it reminded us of our memories of childhood, and for the novelty of being too old for playing it. Then some of us took it too far, and started playing the theme song, lol. I've played all of them except for all of the puzzle and ds ones, which I might buy a ds for, might being the key word, for if anyone found out, I'd be socially dead, lol. The series however is realy running out of ideas in terms of pokemon, I mean seriously, half of the r/s ones are rip offs of the orginals, and most of the latest ones, are evolved versions of previous ones, as well as some of the new ones bing as ridculous as gas balls. I want to know though, are they worth getting? If not for feeling like I'm in primary school again? (I'm in yr 10 now). and how can you? Alot of the pokemon have almost identical cries? or at least the originals anyway, lol. |
I used to watch the Kanto episodes of the anime. The rest just got a bit silly for me.
As in games, I have only played Yellow, Crystal, Colluseum and XD: Gale of Darkness. And I liked them all. But XD got boring for me after a while. But I'm only used to the older games on the gameboy colour or Gameboy. The thought of playing the new ones just weirds me out just a little bit. I'm also put off by the fact that there are now 491 (I think that's the amount of them) pokemon now. And most of them are evolutions or pre-evolved forms (From what I've seen anyway). But I do like the games I have played. I now cannot find them, sadly. |
i enjoyed the second generation games as there wasn't a ridiculous amount of pokemon to catch, therefore i could remember most of the names. i drifted away from them, when a sad weird guy kept trying to make me come round to his house to play pokemon with him.
it put me off for life. |

If you're worried about social issues, don't be. If people are sad enough to change their opinion of you that much because of a god damn video game, don't have such morons as friends, and tell them to screw off. Seriously. I don't see why people see more new Pokemon as a bad thing. Gives you more choice for decent teams. I didn't ever really bother catching them all, just used cheats for the sake of the data. And in Diamond and pearl, you don't need to catch them all, just see them (that is, for the bonuses from the professor), though they still need catching for proper data, so it doesn't take that novelty away so much for hardcore dements that do try to catch them all. I can recognise a Pokemon purely by the cry it makes. And that includes the new D/P ones already too. Yes, I'm quite sad. And I don't care. |
lol, well it's not so much freinds, it's more the whole year, we are a nosey bunch, and at the moment, we're looking for more rumours, but they don't have to know. :P
Lol, my parents wont be happy, but I don't care, even though the whole pokemon genre is a bit too cute for me, I still think it's heaps fun, so I'll probably get it sooner or later, too bad there is no *cough* emulator/ roms *cough* for it, not that I would use them. New pokemon is a good thing, but intimidating I reckon, I like the idea of the new system, rather than having to catch them all, since I'm a completist, I usually find myself doing that sooner or later however, owell, lol. I wonder if they're making a next generation typical pokemon game, and if it will ever move to 3d, and move away from birds eye view, altough I rather like it that way. It looks like they have finnished though, all about to with the main games at least, and it looks like their games never will be runner ups for game of the year, but they're still fun, lol. For now I hope everyone in my year for once stops playing the pokemon theme song on their laptops, lol. |
I agree with you there mudling, it does look like they've finished. Considering the Legendary ones in the new games are things like "The Pokemon that Created the Universe", you do wonder what exactly they can do next.
|
:
Your parents won't be happy? What kind of twisted parents do you have that care that much in a negative way like that? |
Hmm, they could always do "Pokemon that created the consol"
or they could somehow explain why normal animals like asian elephants are mentioned in the orignal games, although I kinda like it that way. Yeah, well, what I meant is that the decent games are probably finnished, they will certaintly try and pull something more out of it, yet they might actually have respect for the franchise and let it be, and create something new. It's mainly my mum, and she's the sick kind that doesn't let me get a new xbox, 360, or any gaming device, try's to get rid of life, and thinks she is the man of the house. Thank God it's just her. |
:
Thank God my mum's not like that...I don't know any like that, fortunately. My sympathies are with you. I really don't see why people are like that, though. Often they're fairly stupid, follow the media, and go all 'video games violence' over the place, though there may be other reasons. Moronic, regardless. |
