i agree with you both. the game has, in fact, truned into a bit of "run around and collect stuff" type deal. i can certainly see how this could turn some people off. so i think this does move from the roots of oddworld gameplay that AO and AE laid down, but i also think that to advance oddworld to the next level of gameplay this is a bit of a nessecary feature. as for the spooce not disapperaring, it plainly states that after you pick the spooce, then just the "spooce-buds" are left. but all in all, the game DEFINATELY keeps the feeling of being on oddworld alive. i have had a few friends over to play the x-box and every time i show off munch i've gotten a response similar to,"how odd." i think the irony there speaks for itself. so is the game different than the last two? hell yeah it's different because it's in 3-D. if it were all run and jump shit, it'd be like playing crash bandicoot on oddworld. i'm enjoying the game so much right now that i'm about 9 hours behind on sleep. it's so good i just can't put it down. the last time a game did this to me was when AE came out.guess that's all i have to say except, sell your kideys if you have to, just get the damn game!
