No offence, but professional cyclists like that have a tendency to be complete assholes as well. At least around here. It's not uncommon for them to just claim a piece of road they aren't even supposed to be, run red lights because they see a gap to go trough and thus scaring the shit out of the drivers, don't signal where they want to go and then have the nerve to flick you off when you almost hit them.
Professional cycling doesn't have any place what so ever in a busy city. Take that shit to the forest or a track.

Yeah - Someone dedicated a YouTube account to showcase footage of people who can't bloody cycle properly and give the normal cyclists a bad name, and there's a lot of footage.
That's no excuse for motorists to break the rules and treat us all in a bad way though - Then they become just as bad as the cyclists who don't follow road rules, and that often leads to people getting hurt or killed.
Cyclists have as much right to be on the roads as motorists do, so long as they follow the road rules - But bikes and cars don't mix. There ought to be a separate cycling infrastructure like they have in Holland, but nope, UK government is far too cheap for that.
