Oddworld Scene Creator using Tiled

For ease of use, this scene creator will use Tiled, which you should download and install. You could create scenes manually, but this will make it a lot simpler.

At the moment I am creating a tileset for the Necrum Mines:
  1. 2-tile-long path: done
  2. 3-tile-long-path: done
  3. Path endings: done
  4. Path-meets-wall: 0%
  5. Raised (metal) paths: 0%
  6. Some path embellishments: 10%
  7. Foreground rocks + other embellishments: 0%
  8. Background pieces: 0%
  9. Objects (doors, levers etc): 0%
  10. Creatures (Abe, Mudokons etc): 0%

The tileset can be found here. It doesn't contain much at the moment, and will need a lot of fixing, but you can use it for now.

NOTES:

To use in Tiled, create a map. Set the dimensions to what you will, BUT the tile size must be 45 x 45 pixels.

Then Map ->New Tileset -> and add this image.

You can now add tiles to the map as well as create new layers and do some other stuff.

---

Any maps you make now (not that you can do much) will be mucked up with a later version of the tileset, since the tiles are set by their position on the image, and I will be rearranging things.

---

Make sure you Save As... the image, and as a .png file to keep transparency.

---

Some parts don't quite match up. This could be because I did some swapping pieces around before, and parts that I'd made match before don't any more. This will be fixed, don't worry!
