I remember I had that kind of problem, so done some research on it. It's to do with how movies are displayed using DirectX which causes a bypass when you use the traditional Print Screen method. I have a program called Media Player Classic which has a screen capture facillity, but I don't know if it would work for .mov files. I've only used it with DVDs and .avi files.
The other thing I found sometimes works is to open up two media players at once [i.e. Windows Media Player and RealPlayer] and play both movies. For some reason this sometimes allows the Print Screen method to work.
