What's your favorite color? I think that most people like the color Blue, so i'm doing this poll to find out what the most popular color is! Please Vote! Thanx!

Mines is pink (of course) and baby blue and black I love also.

Ok since I am majoring in art and Illustraition and that I am an artist black is a tone not a colour. Black and white are not colours they are tones I can assure you of that. thats the first thing you learn in colour theory. Any artist knows that you never use black and white to make depth in colour. To do that you add complement colours to the primary colour. Now you use tones which are black and white to create grey scales and such which I use a lot in my art which is black and white art. But anyway my favorite colour would have to be green. I like that colour a lot because its so lush like.

BUT... you can still have Black or white as a favorite color! So therfore it is a color! DARNIT!!!

Those arn't colors as explaned in color theory but I view them as colors just because. Tell you the truth, what they teach you in school or art classes is right but boreing as hell. Because in reality when it comes to art and I mean cool, fun, awesome conceptual science fiction and fantasy artwork I break all the rules and create profound things so I use black and white to make certain things. Because if you were an artist like me and your wanting to do a painting or some kind of colorful picture your not going to follow those stupid rules no matter how many times they teach you. Useing black and white is so much easier to use then figureing out what color to mix with what to make a stinken shadow of a tree or something with ya know? They say use vilet and purple and blues to create that shadow when I can simply use black. Its great to know the rules but in all cases of doing illustraitions or a drawing your always going to bend those rules. So black and white are colors in my opinion but never tell an art teacher that or he or she will give you an F.

Because they think the way us real artists do art is absurd and you must follow their rules or else your no artist when their rules take away your own imagination which is the key to great art. I love art but I can't stand ordinary art teachers who make you do still lifes and other boreing things and make you follow their rules like its the only way to do artwork. That happens every time I am in all my art classes. I know so much that I completely ignor the teacher and yet I get an A in all my art classes for all my projects. Gee they always wounder why I do so well in those classes because I never follow their rules hehe:lol: Other students are struggleing with the stupid rules that they are so confused that I actually go over and help them out and explane it in my terms and they finally understand how to do it. I follow my rules of art and thats what makes them amazed and they wounder how the hell I did it. I tell ya thats a talent.:D So Black and white are colors in my own opinon.

My favorite color is orange. I don't know why...I'd just love to have an orange car!

I'm also an artist and I know black and white as shades, but I do think of them as colors like you guys!

I was taught, not in an art class or anything, that black was just an absence of colour, what the world would be with no colour. And something about white being every colour mixrd. We did a little experiment and colour certain colours on a wheel and spun it and it looked white. But primary school often lies.

Yea in light black is the absence of color but when your mixing paints you will get eather a real mucky brown color or black.

Its called additive color theory and subtractive color theory. Additive is the use of light where the more colors you add the lighter it gets and eventually turning white. And subtractive is the use of paints or any coloring medium. That is when ever you mix mediums your colors are going to reduce and are going to get darker and darker until it turns black.

I agree paramite, because if you do look at colors, they do have a tint of either black or white.

When you mix white and black you don't get purple. Once again, they are shades.

I like purple. It mixes blue and red, so it's kinda like a double element color which makes it evil:devil:

But you dident notice that purple is used by baddies or villians. Because have you ever seen the Joker on Batman? He wears purple and then you have Sigma from the game MegaMan X. A lot of the bad things in that game have somewhat purplish tinges to it.

I agree with Pa is saying anything evil is sometimes dark colours.

That's true. You never see the grim reaper wearing pink.:D
