Hello! I'm a disgusting lurker who's just this minute plucked up the courage to make her first post.

I'm 18, live in England, have been a big fan of Oddworld since Abe's Oddysee (which also happened to be the first game I ever played). I love all the games, even Munch but my favourite is probably Exoddus simply because it did so much right, as I'm sure many of you will attest to. The art book also deserves a special mention because of how wonderful it is.

I draw a lot of stuff, Oddworld and non-Oddworld related, which I can foresee myself posting in the fan corner if any of you are interested.

As for games, I'm very into the RTS genre right now so I'm pretty hyped for Hand of Odd, whenever it is released. My favourite games, Oddworld notwithstanding are: American McGee's Alice (the original), Serious Sam: The First/Second Encounter, Caesar 3, Shadow of the Colossus and Quake 3.

It's probably best to just always assume the worst, that way you can be pleasantly surprised when something different happens.

AoE is great but I played AoM more because my friend had it. Totally forgot about it until you reminded me though, thanks!

Heh, I used to think like that. Then I had a mental breakdown.

I was never a big fan of AoM. I prefer DoW and AoE, my two favourite RTS series'.

AoM had a staggeringly better campaign though, and better balance all around.

I liked the way the different religions played in AoM, but it was too easy to spam military as the Norse. I liked that it wasn't rock-paper-scissors, but at the same time it would have benefited from that a little. All of the religions still had mele/ranged/horsemen and counters for each.

Thanks, I hadn't heard of Warsow before but from looking at screens I like what I see. Really like the cel-shaded style as well.

Except in norse vs norse battles which would always degrade to an orgy of throwing axemen.

What about the Hersirs?

Warsow is a bit like CPMA but with the best bits of QW and Q3 thrown in. It's faster than Q3/QL by a long way, but doesn't feel as stressful as QW.
