This may be because I'm Russian, and there are still parts of the English language that I'm learning, but I didn't understand a word of that...

Half Half. By day I'm a socialite, when I get home I'm the world's most evil bastard, and everyone just leaves me alone.

I spend most of the time alone, whether I'm behind my Xbox, Computer or playing on my guitar. At school, I try to socialize, but I always end up listening to my diskman, with the volume turned to Max...

Why would I be on the internet if I was having a part?

Being homeschooled I don't get out as much as I'd like to, but I still have good friends and maintain a pretty good social life.

Anyways, I'm not a shut in loner. Well, I am on weekend nights, but thats mainly because I can't drive yet...

This is the first time I've been on the internet since Monday, what with practicing with my band for two days, work, and rest, I haven't had the time. So I would say no.

I'd say no. I don't go out and see friends much during term time because it's awkward - no one I go to school with lives particularly close, and I'm so behind with coursework right now, I don't have the time. Frankly I am afraid to leave the house a lot of the time, but that's only because my suburb is infested with townies.

These coming summer holidays are going to be such a relief after these GCSE years.

I am proud to say that at my school that i am a part and part Freak, Nerd, and cool ZRW, i don't want to say, ask him

What is the point in saying that you don't get out much then backpeddling by telling us all that you are in fact not a shut in loner.

I mean, you're at least a shut in. :p

You're right. I'm not shut in at heart, but circumstances are such that it could be argued that I am.

Thus far...yes. I haven't been out in aiges. But it has to be said, work is knackering me out as is college.

But anyway, the next two weeks will be full of fun. Including alkoholic goodness and Homothexualth!! Whoop!!

I dont have time to be shut in. Ive got a lot of school work, activities, a sport, Band, Jazz Band, combos, etc. Then you have to factor in spending time with friends, and hanging out, going to some parties, and also spending time with my family. Then there is also the weekend where if all my friends are busy, and I dont have a lot of work to do, I'll spend more time on the computer and surfing the web, etc. Although I do try to make time as I stated earlier to post here and check up on things every night, or spend some extra time getting some work over in Fan Corner done.

Well in like three months I will have my Driver's License, so I'll be adding a bit more driving, without my parents, and also possibly a job to make some extra money.

So I'd say about 87-90 Percent out. And 10-13 Percent inside.:fuzsmile:

Somedays the schedule is different though, its all day by day case for me, besides set in stone things that have to be done.

Thats not always a bad thing Grig. Almost all the time if things are bad I can always count on my family to be there for me. :fuzsmile:

Getting along with your parents and family is a real gift. You should hang on to that Grig.

I can't really say if being friends with family is good, cos i don't really get along with mine. But i'd say the whole Grig having no friends is bad. He won't learn to socialise properly. Sure, he'll socialise with his family but they'll put up with his socially inept flaws - whereas actual people won't. He'll end up being a lonely, social outkast whom my kind use for pathetic and petty fun when bored.

You really assume far too much. Grig might be an excellent socialiser. I certainly enjoy his conversations on MSN. Hell I bet if Grig put his mind to it he could make a fine circle of friends. :)

Even if I never meet Grig, I certainly consider him a friend, mainly because he has such a nice attitude and personality.

Yeah, I would consider that sad. Friends rule. Especially if you are high among the ranks and can tell them what to do. And you can't talk about everything with your family... if you know what I mean.

Thats fine, but who wants to be friends with a loser? You have to make a good first impression at school, everybody knows that as soon as the superiors get a whiff of loserness they're going to abandon all hope of ever befriending you. However, you may get the vicious bitches milling around you...but thats because we're all like Hyena's and like to pick off the social stragglers...nobody cares about them...and thus they all laugh when our kind make remarks about their gene pool...

Jacob you clearly don't understand what real friends are. A real friend won't walk out on you because he gets a "whiff of loserness". You are the sort of person that hangs out with certain people to look "cool", I can just tell.

And for this reason I have a suggestion for you: Stop being some casualty of what society thinks is good. Be yourself, not what your "friends" want you to be.

And I'm not going to sit here and let you call Grig a loser. Leave the guy alone he didn't ask to be a part of your stupid thoughtless rants, therefore he doesn't deserve to be.

You seemed to have misunderstanded something. You have to actually HAVE friends [Grig stated he doesn't] for, what you stated, to happen. I stated that strangers in school who have potential friendliness qualities will not make friends with you if you make a bad impression. Seriously, who wants to make friends with somebody who hardly speaks and if/when they do constantly talks about sport, breasts, sex or video games?

Nahh, "coolness" is about as important to me as starving children in the 3rd world. I hang out with specific people for a number of reasons -

1) Because i like their company.
2) So i'm not on my own at a certain time.
3) Because they give me certain social advantages.

Now, each individual person that i know, fits in atleast one of the above category's. The fat guy i had a fling with, for example, fitted into both 2 and 3. It was annoying however, since i loathed his company and couldn't stand him, but he got me into clubs and got me drinks. He also introduced me to many people and, if i was ever direly desperate, allowed me to hang out with him.

And Death, you seem to think that i am directing all this at Grig, when i'm not. I'm merely stating the facts of school-life to you, everybody on here knows that i am very anti-loser, mainly because they pollute the, otherwise clean and merry, social-pool of well-socialised teens. But if asked i will give advice on how to actually make a good impression, however, not even i know the main dealio to this 'cos i've only ever made bad impressions once or twice. I kinda drifted off my point and i can't even remember what i'm typing...erm...yeh, not directing it at Grig, directing at every loser on this forum. And we're not exactly in abundance, now are we?

Truth be told I don't care how many friends someone has. So long as they are a nice person, I won't hesitate to get along with them. Why spend your whole life making friends with people you don't even like just to get "certain social advantages"? It makes no sense at all.

Well, in all England alkohol places you have to be 18. But the club in question you had to have a member to get you in. And he was the member. So thus - i got in.

This isn't the point. My point was that people won't make friends with somebody they percieve to be a loser. That was my point.

It depends on the person's definition of a loser and on what criteria a person judges someone to determine whether or not they are a loser. There isn't a universal definition of a loser. Also people could be a loser one moment, a cool guy the next, then back to being a loser a few hours later. I mean say a programmer is at home writing software in his underwear. He is alone and has been for half a day as he stares at pixels on a screen. He is a loser. But then he goes to a party, gets drunk, has some casual sex and wakes up the next morning with a hangover in his friend's bathroom. Now he's a party animal. Ok that wasn't the best example, but I couldn't think of anything else.

Am I a loner? No. Am I a shut-in? 50-70% of the time. But that's because I'm 14 and can't really go to many places (I don't have the means to get their, don't have the money etc.) So I'm usually at home drawing, on the computer, on the XBox or playing cello. Right now, drawing makes up about 70% of that time.

However, I'm not a loner. I am in several orchestras (most at my school and one of them the SBS Youth Orchestra) and musical ensembles, I do go to friends' houses/ watch movies with friends and I do go to parties (though not super cool alchohol parties- only 2 more years :) ). I have a lot of friends and I meet a lot of people as well.

Not true, when I was fourteen I was going out with my friends most weekends, as I do now. We would just hangout around town, and go into shops and not buy anything. We would usually start by biking to a friend of choices, house, collects some more, and then walk into town. It's easy. And for only easy five payments of $99.99!

Am I a loser? Nope.
Am I a loner? Oh yes yes yes.
Well I hav friends but I still sometimes feel really lonely.
