What is the meaning of telling your children their is a fat man who delivers presents to all the children in the world on Christmas when it is a lie that just makes a lot of people feel bad and left out? First off, parents who are too poor to give their children presents have to say that he must have missed their house or something like that. Second, a lot of older kids that still believe in Santa Claus get made fun of by their peers and a lot of other kids that believe in Santa Claus get made fun of by kids older then them. Third, Santa also makes kids forget the real meaning of Christmas, and no it's not the day Santa Claus was born... Lastly, When parents tell their kids Santa Clause is not real they get let down and it makes the kids have trouble trusting their parents again. Santa Claus should be ashamed... Tut-Tut.:o :o

I can understand it if you tell a baby that Santa exist because they don't know anything, for crise sake they don't even talk. But what the hell is up with telling older children. I was talking to a friend of mine at work about this the other day and we came up with these reasons as to why Santa is Evil.

1. Rearrange his Name and you get Satan
2. He was made by Coke-a-Cola
3. He gets Children to commit the Sin Greed
4. He is getting more Popular than the real reason for Christmas, Jesus
5. He makes you break one of the 10 commandments; Thou shall not worship false idols
6. He's a Fat Man in Red. Geez, reminds me of the Devil.

I just hate it how parents lie to thier children and tell them all this stuff about Santa Clause and the bloody Easter bunny. You know Santa clause started off by being a kind old man who gave to children, but know look at it, he is just a fat bastard that sits on his fat ass and makes little people(elves) make toys for him. Hey do you know when kids get PS2 and stuff, Santa is supposed to make all the toys right, then he must be a theif or something because he is makeing cheap games and consoles.

I cried for days when my parents told me he wasn't real. My little brother still believes in him. But my parents are getting ready to tell him about it. You can see it in their eyes.

Parents just tell their kids about SC as a cheap alternative to get them to behave. They say he only gives presents to the good little boys and girls, but the parents get even the little bastards toys.

When I was around 7 or 8, I realized SC wasn't real. But I still acted like I thought he was real for a couple more years; we would always get one big expensive thing from "Santa." Tee-hee.

I do believe that in most countries, they say that santa claus (or whatever they call it there) is supposed to travel to every house in the world, though I'm not the expert on foreign traditions, customs and folklore.

Well, I never really got introduced to Santa Claus until I was older (because I was living in China) and when I did, I found the idea totally proposterous. However, I did once believe in the tooth fairy... hehe..:fuzblink:

Well Santa isnt real but there was a real Saint Nick and he did give gifts to poor children of his country. Thats where Santa evolved from. The Santa we know today mainly came from the late 50's 60's when coka cola came out. Thats how we got the big fat man in a red suit thing all started. Blame Coke for it.

Tori... You truly are an idiot. Sorry for saying that but it is true. First of all, read what I said before. He couldn't possibly get presents to every single person in the world in just one night... even taking Fax's longitude idea. It's physically and mentally impossible.

Secondly, you say that he stopped giving presents when we were 12. I didn't get presents until I was 8, when I went christmas shopping WITH MY PARENTS. The only gifts I get are from my parents when I've worked hard that year. For example, I got an XBox last year for finishing my first year at Sydney Grammar with a good report card. Your parents must be pretty upset if you don't thank them for the presents you get.

$5000 worth of gifts each? That's a definite exaggeration unless you are swimming in money... In which case anybody would say that your parents are spoiling you. Tell me what you got for christmas.
