Do you have oddworld dreams?
Have you ever had a dream which was in oddworld or related to it?

Yeah, I had oddworld in my dreams, but I fogot em. Well one when I was 11, you know that cut scene where the Slig and glukkon sold brew in AE. Well there was Muds there, and they were waiting to resuced by Abe. But the mud said "Oww, Abe will never come, we waited and waited" Then the Mudokon stabed himself on the head with a knife.
And one time I dreaming about new MO levels, with a city in the bakground. |

My Mum had been playing Oddworld all day, and she had a dream that she was being shased by a Slig, and she tried to chant but she couldn't possess him but she couldn't understand why.

Once I deamed i was Abe being threatend by molluk, and I was over the Veg-O-matic!

I never had a dream that I was on Oddworld but I have dreamt that I was working for OWI (yes, it's sick, I know). I think I stuffed up and Lorne was really angry and he fired me or something like that. That sort of thing is a fairly typical dream for me anyway.

once a time, i don't remember when i had a dream of me beeing a mud in the slog kennels, i was running to save my loincloth from slog teeth but then i suddenly stood on a cliff and fell. And while i was falling i woke up, if i didn't woke up it would be a deathfall, i'm at least sure of that

I've seen many time dreams, where I play oddworld games and I'm in them. So it's not Abe who's jumping around, it's me. ^_^

I had one last night. You know on Sonic the Hedghog 2 in the Chemical Plant when the water starts rising, I had a dream that I was Abe walking up some stairs with water coming up, then tense music starting playing, and Abe popped up just like Sonic does and said: No!

Lately I've been having the same dream about an Oddworld Television channel. Odd TV, I think it was called. I would turn on the X-Box and flip to channel 5.
I've also had dreams about Oddworld figurines and models on stands. |
i had a dream once, before MO came out, when i was playing a game on a gameboy then i found this secret area that sent me to MO and i saved 20 muds straight away.

But there was this once... or twice, i dreamt that i was talking to Lorne Lanning, about stuff. As friends. Man, i got dissapointed when i found out it was only a dream x_x |
I used to have Oddworld dreams, but it's been a long time since I have had one. Then again, I really don't remember my dreams all the time.
One I do remember was that I was in a level of Munch's Oddysee [I think I was in the level as opposed to playing it]. Of course the level wasn't one from the game, but something different. I remember that I had to escape this rising quicksand and to do so I found myself in one of the Glukkon facilities. Abe Babe... |
The only Oddworld related dream I can remember- Basically, AO's opening, but with a minor change- Glukkons became Mudokons, and instead of New 'N Tasty being made of Glukkon heads on a stick, it was just guts in a bowl. That's about it, really. All the Mudokons were laughing at Glukkons, it was really weird :s

Once I dreamed I was being chased by a slig, and the corridor I was running through never ended.

I had a dream about Oddworld only once. It was a batallion of Glukkons and Sligs, armed to the teeth, in some kind of Star Wars-esque spacecraft that had landed on an unknown planet. The music was keyed up like the very beginning scene in Jurassic Park, where Muldoon and the soldiers are unloading the raptor cage. The Sligs all had their guns aimed at the ship's mechanical door, and it was slowly lowering. Finally it opened, and they all looked up to see towering humans and a giant suburban house before them. They had travelled to Earth, landed in someone's back yard, and it turned out that the creatures of Oddworld were as tiny as insects compared to us... Sort of a Twilight Zone ending, rather sad really...

I was Abe, and infiltrating Vykers Labs, it was in Munch, so Munch could revive me with that egg thing. The plan (I think) was to send Abe in and get the Vykkers to use all of their seditives to keep killing Abe and so run out of them. I was Abe and I was running past them and they caught me. It was very, very painful. And it went on, and on, and on. So many needles. Not fun. @_@ |

You know how if you're doing something all day, you'll end up seeing it whenever you close your eyes? I was trying to get to sleep last night with stranger constantly running around in front of me.

I had one where I was finding sniper wasps from SW stuck in the ground in a neighborhodd where I used to live- and they were HEAVY as if made of die cast metal...

It's worth a shot, you should try it if you believe you have a portfolio of a high standard.
I'm not talented in those kinds of areas, and I did look into getting into a game design course this year to try and learn those skills, but the requirements to get in were not only tough, but I didn't have the talent [drawing wise] for that kind of thing. I just want to work in Fan Relations or on their website. Or even in the office. But those positions are all taken, plus that i live in Australia makes it difficult for me. I did send my resume in at one time, but it's outdated now. Abe Babe... |

Don't give up. If you work hard enough to expand your resumé, they'll have to hire you. Besides, you could always move if you want the job bad enough (I know I would). I'm most interested in character design and conceptual artwork. I imagine it'd be a lot tougher to get accepted for such positions though. Especially when they're not necessarily in need to fill such positions. =( |
Yeah, it's probably easier to get a start as a programmer, although game companies rarely hire anyone without experience (hello catch-22!)

I had a dream once, it was before the first movie of strangers wrath came out to watch. I was either stranger or with him and i was in a dark place outside a building. all these bad guys came out and strated shooting at me, while i was running and dodging them.

I had a dream that kind-of involved Stranger. Actually, it just had the radar from the game. I was hunting Townies from my old school, but they were showing up on the radar as sharks on sonar, all intermitent and scrambled. It was bloody frightening.
Then a friend from school arrived (and I saw some kind of massive pilar of smoke and energy and swirling clouds rise into the sky in the far distance, which was some scary shit) and I told him about the shark-Townies. He then told me that during events such as the Battle of Hasting and the Gulf War, the street had indeed become flooded and infested with sharks. It was my own street I live on, too, and it's no where near Hastings. Very strange, if only slightly related to Stranger. |
Unfortunately i have only just recently gotten into the whole Odd state of mind, i had my chance a few years ago but i let it slip past me.
Now the dreams are coming... I had one a few nights ago, about two odd species i have recently developed, and it was pretty much just a dream about the habitats, life cycles and every little detail about them. It seemed to last a long time, i was still going at it when i was woken by my alarm and then i quickly wrote down all the ideas. So now i have two species that wont leave my head. |
yeah I have Oddworld dreams from time to time, but usually they're not 'pure Oddworld' but crossovers with other things, like some books I've read or other games I played.
Few days ago I had a Stranger based dream I guess (maybe that's because I'm dying to play that game and I think a lot about it....but I need to buy xbox first :fuzemb:). Only thing that the Steef there wasn't Stranger, because he (she? I can't really tell) had black tiger-like stripes and different horns. And this dream was freaky......You see, in my dream I think that I was a Grubb (male, I'm certain of that) and we had to fight with some...guy....(he looked a lot like evolved Dumah from LoK series...nevermind) and the plan was that we (the Grubbs) had to defeat other bad guys guarding that Dumah-like guy's tower (yeah....that looked like a tower, but I'm not really sure what it was) and then that Steef with stripes would fight with him. So we fought and there was a plothole (my dreams have a lot of plotholes...if they have any plot that is, sometimes they're just pointless), because we (the Grubbs) wanted to enter that tower to help Stripy (I will call him like that :P), but then the doors opened, when his beheaded body flied past them and crushed to the ground. Someone screamed and I thought "Poor guy didn't had any chances anyway", then the Dumah-guy appeared in front of us and kicked Stripy's body, now lying in a big puddle of blood. Then I saw that he's holding Stripy's head in one hand. The Dumah-guy then faced us and said something, but in language that I didn't know. But it had to be something bad because some of the Grubbs screamed and launched at him, and then my alarm clock woke me up and I had to prepare for school. Well I must say that I usually have pretty violent dreams and this one wasn't an exception...I still feel a bit uncomfortable and kinda sad at the thought of that Striped Steef's body and his head. I hate my dreams (Mostly, I hate the dream when I was chased by the Pyramid Head....damn I was scared then), I remember every detail >_<......but when I wrote it down, and I think about it- maybe I will make a fan character? Steef with tiger-like stripes...hmmm..... |
Interesting dream, steefs would look very interesting with the many different mammal fur patterns.

I had an Oddworld nightmare-does that count?
Anyway, I dreamt that I was Stranger, and that I had gotten through Gizzard Gulch and Buzzarton, then I got up to the part where Stranger talks to Sekto, only-this is ultra-weird-Sekto had been replaced by that aalien in the purple suit out of Space Jam (it's been a long time since I heard his name)! And instead of a Steef head, he wanted some other bounty-alive. Then I had to fight the bounty and because it was too hard to knock him out, I had to kill him. Of course, I had to get the moolah, so I went back, and the guy started yelling with phsycotic eyes and really frightening music starts playing. He presses a red button on his desk, then the screen goes black, I hear Stranger scream, meat grinding, the guy's laughter, then something written in red. I didn't think I would ever get back to sleep. Weird, huh? |

I dont really have dreams about video games. But, one time (before SW was released) I had a dream that I was at the store on the day of Sws release and I was the first on to get it.

I had a dream where (u can actually do this in real life)I was playing OAO and if u'v seen that part where u see the 1st slig tats far away from u i possesed him and kept running into the right wall and i fell out of the wall.
