How many Muds did you save in AE and AO

Just out of interest, as I am playing AO again.

I think mine went something like this: AE: 292 or something
As for AO, I'm not sure. So how did you guys score?

Xavier 11-29-2004 11:42 AM

AO
99 +1(myself)
AE
perfect
MO
I saved all little savable critter :p

Nepharski 11-29-2004 12:04 PM

Abe's Oddysee: 101 (I shall show you want I mean at a later time)
Abe's Exoddus: Yet to be finished.
Munch's Oddysee: Yet to be played.

Oddish 11-29-2004 12:54 PM

101?

AO - 75
AE - 298 (so close)
MO - All

Nate 11-29-2004 01:37 PM

yeah, there's a bug in AO that tells you that you've saved 100+ muds. Or possibly there are more than 100. I don't know.

I think I played both games level by level, first on my own then with a walkthrough so I wouldn't have to go back and do it all again to get perfect quarma. That said, I've replayed it many times since.

OANST 11-29-2004 01:38 PM

Perfect on all games. I had the hardest time with AO but I did it.

Nepharski 11-29-2004 02:48 PM

The Explaination: Due to a glitch of some strange nature, I was faced with the challenge of rescuing 100 other slaves, besides Abe. When I saved the final employee, the counter read: Employees: -1.

Believe what you will, I speak the truth.

Al the Glukkon 11-29-2004 02:53 PM

I can't really remember how many I saved.

Yeah same thing happened to me, but when when I beat the game again it was only 99 employees. As for the games I've got perfect on them all after many tries without use of a walkthru. Know I just use the cheats and explore the levels daily

Which is why I think that its intentional on OWI's behalf and not a glitch. Speaking as a computer programmer who has dabbled in graphics, adding the capability to display negative numbers is unnecessary extra work if you aren't intending on using it.

Alcar 11-30-2004 01:13 AM

I've saved all Mudokons from every game so far, as well as all Fuzzles / Egg Crates.

Alcar...

T-nex 11-30-2004 04:55 AM

Ao: I don't remember.. It was about 70 or something.
Ae: 297 :(
Mo: Everyone

erwinraaben55 11-30-2004 06:25 AM

100% for every game. And it was not very hard to do. I never used a faq or something.

Smell 11-30-2004 09:37 AM

Cool. I think it will be very hard for me to get all 99 un AO.
Furstrating:- Rescuing 299 or something in AE, just 1 off. Yes, I agree with Oddish, you were so close.

Wil 11-30-2004 10:48 AM

All in all, I've rescued 426 Mudokon Scrubs, 118 Fuzzles and 75 crates of Labour Eggs.

What's more, I've managed to get through Munch's Oddysee killing a bare minimum of 11 Sligs. I really do have Archangelic Quarma.

Rincewynd 11-30-2004 10:56 AM

AO-80 (no walkthrough) 99 (walkthrough)
AE-in the 200's i think (no walkthrough)
MO-all (it was slightly more easy than the first 2, no walthrough)

Sounds cool how does this glitch happen? (I know that might not make sense but you know what i mean)

Yeah, I think it might a secret palce, but I can't find it.

Wil 11-30-2004 11:22 AM

Yup, I'd love to know how you get this glitch to work: I surely wouldn't mind having rescued an extra Mud to compensate for that one who falls to his death in AE. Isn't it something to do with backtracking in the first level?

OANST 11-30-2004 01:17 PM

I never thought about trying not to kill sligs. I always tried to kill everything in the level.

Nate 11-30-2004 01:29 PM

The 'glitch' is not something you try and do. Just save every single one (use a walkthrough to make sure you have got them all) and maybe it will happen.

oddguy 11-30-2004 08:26 PM

My first time through on AO and AE, I didn't get perfect. It took me a second time to get perfect on them. Now...the first time with MO was Angelic Quarma. ;)

odd chick 11-30-2004 09:10 PM

I've saved all of the muds in all three games and got less than 50% on all three also just to see the bad endings. I've yet to get black quarma on MO, though.

Alcar 11-30-2004 10:51 PM

The glitch with Abe's Oddysee is certainly news to my ears, in that I haven't heard about it before. Though it does intrigue me. Any save files that you could go back to, take a screenshot or two, and possibly upload the actual save file? (if you're using the PC version)

As for Archangelic Quarma, I gave up not trying to murder Sligs and regrowing every Spooce I could. It got SO tedious.

The bad ending movie is waaaay worth it though. I laughed so hard when I first saw it. I think it was the crazy fuzzle that jumps in the air and goes "Wheeee" that really cracked me up.

AO: All
AE: All
MO: All

never used walkthroughs

But here's another challenge:

Ao: All KILLED
AE: ALL KILLED
MO: ALL KILLED (even the natives, which you don't have to save)

SPOILER *** Check my website (go to 'endings') to see the prove, or get the savegames in the download section). *** SPOILER

Xavier 12-01-2004 08:59 AM

to bad you can't download it for munch :p
I never could succeed to kill all the critters in MO ;(

Nath 12-02-2004 06:59 AM

I've saved 97 in AO
All in AE
All in MO.

Now i just have to try killing them all in all games, that must be so much fun to do.

Software Bug 12-02-2004 08:18 AM

:

MO: ALL KILLED (even the natives, which you don't have to save)

I tried this but at the start with munch i could't kill 10 fuzzles - for spuce,
and in the first vykker labs level you cant kill the mudakons ,

i killed the rest but i only had the bad ending...

Nate 12-02-2004 01:52 PM

Its pretty tough to kill all the fuzzles cos you can't pic them up and throw them off cliffs like the muds. You have to lead them in to mines or have them attack sligs - but you have to do it one by one otherwise they'll kill it.

ANN NEELY 12-02-2004 03:19 PM

50 Times Beaten!

AO: Currently 47
AE: Currently 56
MO: Perfect Score all fiddy times 'round.

Ok, Ok, I know what you're all thinking. "She hasn't beat AO or AE?!?" I watched my dad beat it, and I was 7 at the time, and not too bright when it came to games. I had wised up when I was 10, but by THAT time, MO was being released, so... no time again. I've tried beating the two before, but the games are worn out and shut down after one level and during the beginning of AE. I'll probably never get around to beating it....

happy presents for mister alcar:

Alcar 12-05-2004 10:50 PM

Wow, thanks for that Nate_dog_woof! Not only did you get me a purdy picture, but the save file too!

And it does indeed look very interesting, but is it isolated to the PC version?

Alcar...

WiLL the Wander 12-06-2004 04:00 AM

Well:
AO: 99, but I have a save with 100
AE: 345

Xavier 12-06-2004 10:35 AM

wow thanks a bunch for the save file!!!
I have to try this asap!

how do you do that?

Wil 12-06-2004 12:18 PM

Bah, I don't have the PC versions of the game.

Actually, there's a couple of things I should look out for.

Well done, Esus, you're certainly on top form today.

Nate 12-06-2004 01:23 PM

A few people have noticed this bug. Have we all been PC players? Does it appear on the PS anyone?

300... and what? :confuzzled:

Smell 12-07-2004 10:31 AM

Maybe he got a bug
