I have been gone for some time now due to lack of accessible internet. This is sad. But what I found sad upon returning (Other than the enormous amount of debating and new information I missed) was the lack of something I felt made Off-Topic interesting.

Heated arguments, pointless controversy, and the eventual honing and defining of psuedo-meaningful arguments. That is to say: Politics.

Sadly I must jump on the bandwagon of urging those of you (In the states, of voting age) to see this frightening documentary about the events that took us to war and the minds behind it.

If you love Micheal Moore, realize he's very little in the film. If you hate Micheal Moore, see the film anyway and criticise here. Hopefully your points will be valid. For those of you disinclined to worry about the state of the nation and its far-reaching effects, just see the film before hardening you're mindset.

And if you already have an opinion type fast, because I'd like to hear it and I'll be gone for a month past July 11.

Like I said in the other thread, Bush doesn't need Moore to make him look stupid, but if this movie will help people make up their minds, then people should see it. I don't think I need to see it since my mind is pretty much made up on the Bush administration.

Micheal Moore is a lazy fat son of bitch. If he thinks that his pathetic film which he labels (dare I say) as a documentary did any effect on changeing the mindset of "normal America," then he really is full of himself. For crise sake Spider Man 2 made more than he did.

I know for a fact I am republican and conservative and I support Bush for his effort in protecting our nation since 9/11. So far it works there hasn't been one attack on our soil since 9/11. God bless George W Bush! Now I know you librals want to argue with me about George W Bush on how he dident protect us since 9/11 or on how you believe he lied to the public of weapons of mass destruction or say that I am a retard because I support Bush. But mind you Saddam did use the weapons on his people, but all I say to you librals out there is your full of it and you will see come election 2004.

Do any of you see the good news comming out of Iraq? Of course not because the media which is being funded by the Libral Democrats are not allowing that good news to surface. Another conservative that I admire for bringing you librals down is Rush Lymbaugh. For a society who is brain washed by the media and the Libral Democrats, Rush knows what the hell he is talking about when it comes to you people. Dare I call you libral left wing democrats out there fools, you just need to wake up and realise that we are at war against thugs and people who want to kill us to make a point. Another conservative that I believe in is Glen Beck now there is a man who makes sense among a nation of left wing fools who want to become the ****ing new age Nazi party. Glen Beck is a man who knows how to talk to young men an women like myself in a way that makes sense to my age group. He more or less is a conservative who is more comedian than serious like Rush is. Yeah I know what you left want you love Hitler and all his works and you love Communism so its know wounder your against Bush who wants to bring down terrany. Hey I just realise something I am an evil conservative who wants to pollute the world with SUVs. I just have to mann, it is the will of George W Bush! I shall see this film as soon as it comes out where I am, as I am an avid reader of Michael Moore and I find myself agreeing with him 99% of the time.

I thought the film was more about showing how war and profits are inter-related. Clearly Moore doesn't like Bush. But I gathered that a good deal of it was simply trying to show that a war against ideas was unwinnable. 1984 style.

There was a documentary thing on TV today, where some people who knew Osama Bin Laden were interviewed. What continues to disturb me is how they use exactly the same logic to justify what they did to us, that people use to justify what we are doing. When asked about how they felt about the 911 attacks, they mentioned Hiroshima and all that. And yes, when Hiroshima was bombed, millions of Americans were cheering in the streets, regardless of how many innocent people(including children) were killed. Just like Al Queida. Bottom line, all religiously violent people are fools, there's no right or wrong about it.

War is the most ****ing stupid, primitive thing that anyone can resort to. No suprise George Bush resorted to it twice.

Wars are for the retarded, primative, backward African tribes, not for us intelligent, cultured, civilized people. George Bush assured the death of thousands in the name of American greed and lies.

I have to agree with PA here, i don't see how you can compare Bush to Hitler. Unless you're comparing Concentration camps to Guantamano Bay, which is a iffy subject, since none of us know the actual reasoning behind the captives there.

Other than that and some random invasions, i don't see why he's Hitler. Codek, you said Bush and Blair went to war on a lie, well yeah, they may have done. But it doesn't necessarily mean they knew it was a lie. Besides, Saddam was in breach of quite a few constitutions and he was just wanting his ass to be kicked.
