Oh by the way did someone here ever lie about having any kind of proffesional experience? If yes, how did it turn out?

Yes. If I had to fill out an application, no one ever got back to me. If I seeked out a client and did one on one temporary contractual work, it worked out fantastically and they usually gave me the reigns on everything hah

Is that's the proof that people should apply for anything, even things they are not qualified for?

Nah, because it probably would have come out in the interview. More than anything it's a sign that recruitment agents are terrible at parsing resumes.

Never lied out-right, but I might have exaggerated how much I learned from any given job.

i've outright lied. and exaggerated. and over-exaggerated. multiple times.

i should be shitting myself at a secret smallpox research base totally out of my depth surrounded by armed guards by now, but they were looking for someone with more relative experience.

I once applied to MI6. I didn't get it.

Yesterday I bought a one-way ticket to Seattle. I leave in 15 days. *nerves*

Woo, you get a great minimum wage there! :D

Wings of Fire 07-15-2014 08:23 AM

Something tells me the job Nate is going for pays just a little more than minimum wage.

Just a hunch.

I was confused for like, half a second. In fact, everytime I visit this thread I get confused.

Seattle has a minimum wage more than double the national minimum.

Extremely this. But it's nice to know my neighbours will be doing okay.

Forget about that sort of hogwash, Commie scum! It's all about you and yourself here.

sick of working for other people who are cunts.

Words to live by!

I'm pretty much stuck in terms of work! No one's hiring where I live and I don't have the money to move! I'm so tired of applying and applying and not even getting a "Hey thanks for the application but...", it's like employers don't have the heart to say "Sorry but you're not good enough". *sigh* fucking asshole economy...

I meant because my username is Job and no one is talking to me but keep saying "job"

Oregon has a pretty alright min wage as well.

Job.

But not you though.
