Calm down guys. This forum was designed for the average fan of the Odd Series to come on and express their gaming experiences and love for such characters like ABE. No need to get your knickers in a twist with anticipation and starting fights amongst each other. How is that going to solve anything?. It will take time for them to revamp everything that came out in 1996. Give it some time. They are only judging site completion when someone tells them it may be ready. You would moan your ass off if the company submitted the new site with a half ass attempt due to rushing it for people that can't wait any longer. To relaunch a game that is so old they want everything to be mint! It will be ready when it's READY!

Design some nice Oddworld icons and backgrounds for use with the PS3 XMB.

I would doubt that Hand of Odd was still in the pipeline... but why on earth would he mention it? Being ambiguous about deadlines is one thing, but I can't imagine they would make a comment like that a week before the announcement unless it had some relevance to what they are doing.

Just a friendly note to anyone from JAW or Oddmobb that might happen to read this, be it Gilray, The Native (whoever you are), or anyone else:

Forgive us if we seem a bit agitated ;) We've been waiting a long time now, and we're just antsy because something is finally happening with Oddworld. I can't speak for everyone, but I think most of us are incredibly grateful that something is finally happening with Oddworld. In the end, we're all on the same side here -- we want Oddworld, and you want to give us Oddworld. So I guess what I'm saying is... try not to hate us too much when we scream at the top of our lungs over a short delay :D

There have been two references to Hand of Odd up to now, it's a bit much for a game that's supposed to be dead. It would just be cruel to teach new oddworld fans about a game that has no chances of seeing the light of day at all. So what do you guys think?

On the other hand HoO doesn't seem to be a project that can be done in a year of time.

I would love to see this game finished, i must admit that it was one of the Oddworld games i was looking forward to before OI stoped working on games.
I just hope if they do another Abe game it will be ten times better than munch's oddysee *sigh :)

I'm now picturing members of the Oddworld forums as mudukons in different states of emotion as we wait to be 'saved' by OWI/JAW:

Stable: Wearily, sceptically, quietly waiting for salvation.

Wired: Getting super excited, running around and jumping up and down everytime someone important so much as farts.

Depressed: Still dwelling on what could have been, with little hope for the future, up to this point.

Angry: They've been messed around too much, and aren't interested in salvation until they are given something substantial to make up for it.

Blind: Hasn't been paying attention.
