:

Not to pour Salt and all, but you can't expect him to say "Here, have less commandments to follow" after the whole 'Je' to the 'Sus' fiasco, can you?

Huh?

Havoc 08-13-2006 07:12 PM

I think he's referring to the 10 commandmends when Jeeeezus cam dooown from teh aaaal mighty hill. and presented his followers with the 10 rullas!

...

Then they made an image of god which looked like a goat or something (which I found very entertaining to say the least, since the bible says he created us all after his own image) and jezus smashed the plate with the commandmends and stuff yadayada.
And they didn't have superglue in those days so jezus was grounded. The end.

It was a golden calf.

:

I don't believe religion should be in schools (excluding things like Bible Club, religious studies classes)

The study of religions SHOULD be in schools, unless parents don't want their kids to learn about it.

I say "study of religions" because children should learn about more than one. Once I hit secondary/high school, I had religion as a class. I learned about the ideas of Belief, Symbols, Faith, Evidence. I also learned the main doctorines of Hindu, Christianity {and sub-sets of}, Muslim, Buddism and a few other beliefs.
They were compared to each other.
They were explained.

...and that was it. They weren't shot down as "THIS IS ALL FAKE! LOVE JESUS!", because that's preaching. They were just studied.

In the final 2 years of school, it moved onto Morality, STDs, Right/Wrong, etc. Again, it was objective. Again, it didn't preach {although it did discourage STDs}.

ONE MORE THING...

...that was Moses.
Also... simply because I know a lot of people believe that that actualy happened... try to be less jokey 'bout it. K THX BAI

I meant as in including religion as a class in the group of math, english science, etc.

I wouldn't mind if it was an elective class, though.

"Also... simply because I know a lot of people believe that that actualy happened... try to be less jokey 'bout it"

No.

When you think about it, it's ridiculous that people get so wound up by certain things. Whether it's getting wound up by Religion (Pinky) or Racism (Stat) or Bush (Havoc)...why are people getting so wound up about things? Why is saying one thing so heinous? Why is making a joke (like i usually do) about 'controversial' topics so bad? ...why are they controversial in the first place.

No, this post has no right being here for it deviates from the topic, and no, i don't care about it.

Now...excuse me, i have some hate speech to practice whilst my SS uniform drys.

Statikk HDM 08-14-2006 11:50 AM

No. I won't take it seriously, it deserves to be joked about. A murdering madman with a speech impediment goes to the top of a hill and brings down commandments. Meanwhile, everyone else is having an orgy and worshipping a calf made from earrings. And nobody can see God giving the commandments, the commandments that will dictate the Jews' life for as long as they live, except a stuttering, homicidal schizoid.

When's the next march going to be? :p

Oh yeah, and I agree and all that.

Jacob 08-14-2006 01:09 PM

"When's the next march going to be?"

As soon as the next shipment of sacrificial Negroe's is delivered.

Hitler never had it so good.

used:) : I didn't ahve a choice to study religion. It was a proper subject {although didn't have a state exam at the end of it}. Now, you can actualy choose to take Religion and have a state exam in it.

NOTE: State exams are the only thing colleges look at in Ireland, unless you get a sports schollarship or are rich enough to afford to go private. To get into college, you need good state exams.

I think that if everyone who practices their religion bothered to learn about other ones, or even to find out what theirs is really all about, it would only help.
