It's the start of August here. The lack of website has killed my nerd-boner.

Not follow-up on everything MO was supposed to be? Fine.
Go with an unrelated game instead of the proposed ME? Alright.
Never make ME? Sure.
Never make another game for years and years? Why not?
Close up shop? Awesome.
Jerk us around with "movies, games, no movies, a different movie" for a few years? Good stuff.
Leave us without a website for years and years? Whatever.

But... make us wait a few more days than planned for an announced website? UNFORGIVABLE! I am totally complaining about this on the internet.

It's not about not doing stuff. It's about not fulfilling promises. They hyped us a lot, and now there's no site in July as had been said.

To be fair, the JAW offices were without Internet access for over a week. Give them another week. And then give them a couple more months, honestly, it's only a website.

To build a website you don't need internet acces :-)

Depends whose website you're working with and what server it's on.

The new Oddworld website has been "Coming Soon" for like 4-5 years now. If you can wait being told it is coming soon for years and years, you can wait a few extra days after being told it was coming soon again.

"Coming soon" is just a vague statement. It's quite different than "it's coming out on July".

Well, obviously something has happened which has prevented them from having released it.

I meant as in they weren't able to finish the website in time. Maybe took longer than they had anticipated.

Maybe they don't give a toss about any of us, decided we're not worth having a website made for us, gave up on it, and have decided to drop Oddworld to work on the next Phantom, with Linda McCartney designing the casing and Jesus Christ lending his voice to the firmware screenreader.

... You're not happy, are you? Can't say I blame you really. It seems asthough OWI has been trying to stand back up on crippled legs for the past few years. If nothing comes out of this and yet another deal is dropped, then it will be a sad day for gaming

Oh come now, its only been one day. I'm sure they said something MIGHT be ready in July, and that probably goes for the website too. I expect it will be up in the next week, and if not then atleast a twitter update.

There have been far longer delays in gaming before. Think about all those poor Dead Rising fans.

You know, the thing I'm kinda pissed about isn't the fact that OWI is late (again), but that they don't let anyone know they won't make the deadline while they probably knew themselves for ages.

Deadlines are broken all the time in game developer land, release dates are put back, games are delayed and all that stuff. But whenever that happens it's announced. You never see a developer claim a game will be in stores on August 1st and then without any kind of message from the developer it isn't there on that date. You simply can't do that and the same goes for anything else you make public.

You simply don't publish a deadline on something you aren't sure is feasible and if you MUST publish a deadline, at least have the damn courtesy to let us know you're not making it. IMO this is just plain rude, how long does it take to jump on Twitter, I mean seriously.

Will let you know when the new site is up. We've been pretty busy on Lorne's new invention. It will take awhile. Just dont mobb us......
