It is very much The Animatrix, but with Halo. It's even got the two-parter history lesson. It also has the ridiculous adventures of Spartan-1337.

That was the most wonderful comedy short ever.

just watched Evil Dead 2, again. hadn't seen it in a long time, fucking great stuff. its enjoyable just watching all the work that went into it.

By staying inside in his workshop. And luck, I suppose. He didn't outlive the people by that long, though.

Me too. After all, the Doc is all grey and shrivelled by the time 9 finds him. Anyway, a man who worked out how to transfer his soul into ragdolls is likely quite proficient at keeping himself alive.

Decided to watch The Crazies since I am halfway curious about the remake. Was rather bland and disappointing, all the low budget of his first two zombie movies, but without the charm or likable characters.

Meh. Still dumb.

Now, I haven't seen it, but most of the reviews that I have read for Burton's 'Alice' seem to see it as an affront to both film and literature.

I can't wait to see how he ruins Dark Shadows for me.

I always approach a Burton film assuming it's going to be utter shite. That way I can be pleasantly surprised if I'm wrong. If...

I'm still waiting for the 'American McGee's Alice' film to be made.

Is it me, or is Mr.Depp sexy to all women, even if he is playing a loony, a guy with facial scars and scissor hands or a Pseudo-peadophile?

From the trailer, I'd say Alice is going to be bloody awful. Everyone keeps talking about how good it'll be, they can't wait to see it, but my fucking God it looks shit.

See, that's how I felt about Avatar and everyone went on and on about how the story isn't important; the special effects are AMAZING!!!!

So that's pretty much the same as how I feel about Alice.

Friend of mine went to see it, I'm just going to copy what he said since I have no interest in seeing this rainbow puke.
-Too many shots are WAY too close to the characters themselves, makes you feel as if you're missing what's going on in the rest of the scene.
-Script didn't really make sense.
-The ending was stupid

So yeah. I think I can wait.

I couldn't understand half the things the mad hatter was saying and the plot didn't make a lot of sense, but it was pretty to look at

I heard that part of the problem with the film was that it made too much sense. I mean, it's based on a novel that's driving forces are absurdity, circular logic, and the way children misunderstand the adult world. So, for a movie on that subject to be predictable and make sense is really missing the point.

Except that it's not a film for people who have read the novel; it's a film for people who have seen previous Disney and Disney-fied films.

Just saw The Men Who Stare At Goats. Nothing like I expected, but very funny. Could possibly been a bit shorter, but I definately recommend it to all. George Clooney FTW.

EDIT: Added bonus of awesomeness is that there are regular conversations about Jedis and Star Wars... that feature a character played by Ewan McGregor.

I was told the 3D in Alice sucks. Probably because it was shot with normal cameras and converted to 3D later as opposed to using 3D cameras (or whatever it is they do).

Can anyone else confirm this?
To clarify, I'm talking about the 3D not the CG. I can already tell the CG is sub par.

Also, did anyone here see The Lovely Bones? That movie came and went so fast I forgot to see it.

I haven't seen it yet, but friends say the 3d and the CG are both good.

Actually I found him 'cute' in an ugly-cute' way... But in no way did I find him sexy O_o .... Like seriously.
Oh and yea I went to see it with my sis n a friend.

It was ok. Visually pleasing. But the story was rather predictable. It was funny though and kept me entertained. I'd definitely recommend people to watch it if they like the Tim Burton style movies.

I'm sure I'll enjoy the visuals. That's all its about really, and that's fine. :)
I'd like to enjoy something simple and colorful after getting my annual dose of cerebral/emotional satisfaction from the Sundance darling Precious. Nothing beats a good yarn about rape, retardation, and AIDS.

I don't get why all the people who implored me to see Avatar whilst saying "Yeah, the plot's shit, it's all about the visuals!" are now poohpoohing Alice.
