It's an okay movie.

Man, what a dick.

It's good, I guess. I'm just not crazy about the visual style, and I think it came out more silly than genuinely funny.
Fight Club is one of those movies I thought was pretty good, but don't really want to watch again.
Really? I think it's better on rewatch.
Don't get me wrong, I've seen it multiple times, but I didn't go out of my way to do so.
I loved it when I first saw it in the theatre. I loved it less after each viewing. Similar to Fear and Loathing.
I've seen Fight lub many times but still love it. I dunno, it just has that staying power for me. Fear and Loathing I can imagine would get old after a while.
I watch Fear and Loathing every couple of years, and I notice something new about it every time. If it was made by a less competent director, I'm sure it wouldn't have this effect.

I generally appreciate most movies like that on second watch. Twelve Monkeys, Unbreakable etc. |

12 Monkeys is an excellent film.
I had to watch Twelve Monkeys the second time. The second time was to understand the film. But yes, that is a fantastic film.

Also, perhaps strangely, The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. The first time I watched it, I was so caught up on noticing the similarities and differences to the book (it was one of my favourites as a kid) that I couldn't relax and just enjoy the film. But the second time (and onwards), I did. |
