I highly doubt they would have ARG clues which disappeared after a short space of time. If there’s a puzzle they want us to solve the clues will remain available as long as we need them.

So with that in mind, the only things we really have right now are the reveal1/2/3/4 images. I think there’s some significance to them changing and reveal4.jpg is especially mysterious.

That said, no new code pieces have been marked with a ?, so I’m unsure if there is actually a new puzzle for us yet.

Yeah I thought it was originally as well, it´s a bit confusing having 2 aims at the same time.

I'm inclined to agree, I feel it would be a bit unfair to rely on us making copies of each variant of the source code, on the whim we retain the correct formatting, because it would be easy for the ascii messages to become garbled. Would be nice to have confirmation from ed as to whether we have the clues or we're waiting for new orders, as I've spent the best part of an hour today and yesterday thinking of possibilities.

I'm not entirely sure. I'm not 100% certain where or why Xav got the URL's for those from, unless he just remembered them from last time and pasted them in? The first 3 haven't changed, and I believe the reveal4.jpg was only showing up through because of them changing the website formatting so many times, as other characters and text were leaking through the sides. I think they then changed it to a black square so it wouldn't be as noticeable until they sorted the formatting. Perhaps? It didn't change for quite a while.

I ran the image through some editing software and nothing showed up. Could be wrong though. It's possible it's worth further investigation.

We have had lead up's to puzzles we've had to solve before, I believe before we had the Witness Puzzle piece, we had to solve something to unlock it first. I think it's about time, since we just finished the Twitter followers goal and it's been over a week without any real objectives for us.

Guys, the animation of Abe's face on game page changed. Now it from a different angle and moves faster.

It's been that for a few days. I posted a direct link to it a few days back to people could watch it and assess if there's anything fishy going on in it :p

reveal4.jpg has been hidden in the site since it was first launched (along with 3 and 2), and Xavier found it then which was our first clue we were looking at an ARG.

reveal4.jpg was previously the placeholder image for the Abe face reveal video, and it’s still in that same place. 3 and 2 have now been removed since the video files for the hand and chest have been removed.

Back then all 4 reveal images were different image files, so they’ve been changed recently. I doubt they would change them for no reason, and there would be no reason to change 3, 2 or 1 as they’re no longer on the page, so they may be getting set up for a new puzzle.


My theory is they’re being set up ahead of time for another puzzle which isn’t yet open for us, so they’re meaningless on their own. I’d expect more clues to give them context later.


Every time we’ve had to find the challenge for a puzzle piece it’s been marked with a ? to indicate we need to find it. No ? means no challenge to find yet. If there is a puzzle we need to find, it’s not going to unlock the next code piece or its challenge.

Okay, I see where confusion is stemming from now. I recently (within the last 2 weeks) went back and looked at the very first steps of the ARG, because I wasn't involved then and I wanted to see how it all started. When I opened the links to the reveal images on the very first page of the ARG thread they were the "1" "0" "2" and "9" images that they are today. I had just presumed that's what they were when they were originally found, and that's what they had always been. I didn't know that was a recent change, because there was nothing in the thread to say otherwise.

So, I can confirm they have been changed to 1 0 2 9 for at least 2 weeks. Then reveal4.jpg changed from a 9 to that black image yesterday. It took me a while to realise what you guys were on about, as to me there was nothing new when Xav posted the links since I last saw them.

True, I'd forgotten about the question marks. I think we can safely assume we're analysing nothing.

I thought something was incoming just then as when I loaded the page the formatting was broken again, but it appears they've added a top banner to the site with links to the different sections. No changes to anything else or the source code, as far as I can see.

Yeah, I was just about to say the word that triggers it is actually brew. But, I do believe it is a new response they've put it. Well done on finding one! They have added a few in over the course of it, seemingly just to keep it fresh. Let's hope it means they're gearing it up for the next step. Last time they added SEEME? WAVE. which our next clue.

You know they are seriously making cryptic stuff if they take a long time to set up the puzzle, as well as put some pieces in place before it even starts

Anyone else seeing the Paramonian Temple on the right in the reflection?

Well it certainly is a location of sorts

Okay, let's think:

OWI polled the audience asking if Abe is either Angry, Sad, Wired or Sick on the released eye-screenshot.

Judging from the fact that the reflection in Abe's eye is probably what he sees right now and the cause of his emotion, what could cause any of the 4 choices? It resembles fire and the spikes on the right of the reflection looks like Paramonia.
We still do not have the right answer, so it's just a guessing game right now:


Angry: We never really see Abe angry in Exoddus if I remember correctly. The only instance I remember is the "angry" command that makes Abe slap Mudokons or sligs. There are some locations where it's necessary to slap people for example the laughing gas pretty much at the start of the game.

Sad: Mudokons get sad when they see other mudokons die and will continue to kill themselves if they see multiple mudokons dying (Which was so horrifying looking at as a child, Lorne wtf?). The "desert exodus" seems to take a more important role, based on what I read in some interviews so far, maybe the fire is linked to the desert, Abe sees mudokons dying of thirst and get's sad. The story will get a darker tone than Exoddus, so that may be likely.

Wired: This is the only emotion I have not really an idea for... Could also be linked to the exodus or Soulstorm Brew.

Sick: This one is most likely connected to Soulstorm Brew. As far as I know, Abe is immune to the sickness caused by the Brew and will, as you all know, gain the ability to heal his friends. But I don't remember fire being there or Paramonia/Mudomo involved.

I think he is not looking directly at us, we rather see his left eye (from Abe's POV) and the left side of his head.

It looks like just lights/fire to me. But if he is pissed and that IS a character he's staring at it makes sence to me that it would be Brew master glukk since he blew up.

If he is sad it could be since:
- it's sorta his fault that the mudokons are wondering the desert upon which they turn to the brew and desend into addiction and sickness not to mention the mining and the eventual blowing up of Nekrum. (Which his ancestors asked him to save)

He's realising just how much weight/ consequence his decisions have regardless of how good his intentions are. Like 'LL mentioned in an interview

My guess is that he is watching Necrum burning (I'm bummed out already) Anywho
