Is it just me or is this thread becoming strangely circular?

*Someone suggests a date based on a vague source.
*Everyone else jumps in to say why its wrong with plenty of sideswiping and backstabbing as we destroy each other's theories.
*After 20 negative posts one person writes about how that date actually makes sense because...{illogical point based on faulty suppositions}
*Everyone takes some time out to bitch about the fact that we don't really know anything.

... and then everything starts over again. Seriously, read through the whole thing and you'll see this has happened 3 or 4 times

That's exactly how it goes. I've just been watching this topic cos it's funny...every single post says the same thing. Over. And over. And over.

Guys, don't freak about Stranger. We are all fans and are a little "crazy" (for lack of a better word) about Oddworld and we make our blood pressures way too high over this. :| It won't come out in June, though I wouldn't be surprised if they show us something really cool in June which is probly the case. A bunch of no-nothing game informers saw a little something on the internet that said "something special in June" and made a big commotion as if it was being released to receive more money and publicity. As for the dissapointments, Munch was the "ugly duckling" of OWI and Lorne knows not to make the same mistakes again, I know it's hard to control your large expectations but guys, it's not perfect, there will be dissapointments in the game that will have to live with. You guys know everything I said already, but I'm just saying it to sound smart and to help you guys keep your cool.

Alright, next PA should be making an apperance and telling SS why it might come out in June. And throw in a 'it's only a prediction...lighten up.'

Yeah but we've been saying that for the last 12 months and we've only gotten anything at all this month (which was really just info about the Inhabitants, rather than the game)

each month we are expecting big changes...
well E3 did gave us much yet, not even feedback of Lorne's presentation

E3's not over yet...there's still hope! If we don't get news from IGN, Abe Babe is sure to have something when she gets back.

I hope Lorne hasn't attended E3 yet. I have heard no news and if he did then it must've been some boring shite because I haven't even seen a transcript, and Lorne's not the kind of guy who bores you ;)

That'd really suck for Abe Babe if she went to E3 and OWI wasn't even attending. But E3 has other stuff to offer besides Oddworld. ;)

Abe Babe was also at E3 for the Final Fantasy series, and said that there was tonnes of stuff! When she wants, she'll probably do a report on it all.

By now I'd be expecting her to report back and brag of her extraordinarily lucky life as attending E3, but we haven't heard from her yet so there's hope yet ;) I just wish we could squeeze some OW info out of this event, I mean it's like E3 is a delicious pie sitting on a high table that we can't reach, and Kristen is the only one brave enough to scale the sides :p

Oddworld was'nt at the booth then.There realy keeping it secret, on the other hand theres a wounderfol pic of Farzards art, not oddworld but it looks just like Stranger! very similar indeed :).

EDIT: i wonder why Farzard left. He seems to do the same theme with OW, western theme.

anyway, Bungie IS at the E3... strange, I wonder when Abe Babe will come back to have a longer report.

Well, I heard the Bungie booth was only for VIP...like the guys at IGN and stuff. Only special members of the press could get in. Guards were outside of the booth even!

Damn, I was looking forward to some info.

Lorne was part of a panel on Thursday on the topic of Toward an Artisan Model of Game Design

so basically he didn't talk about Stranger. Which pretty much rules out a release in the next few months

hmmm remember the gamasutra video? he showed some elements of MO to ilustrate his speach, could be the same thing.

We only know and this is official information that Stranger will be out some time this year. Wether its June or not remains to be seen. That is why I predicted June in the first place but most certainly that isn't official thus it needs to be taken as such. I got this information from all kinds of game stores not just one. And everyone is evidently telling me the same. I don't even know if its true or not but thats one of the reasons I predicted it in the first place. Why are all these game stores telling me that OW4 is slated for June release? Where are they getting their information from? And if so is it official?

I doubt it. This was not just a monologue speech where he could do what he wants. This was a moderated panel, where he just debates a topic with other industry folk.
