That's how it originally was.
But then I realized that you had to run in certain situations... That was the best I could come up with. Does anyone have some ideas? I think that arrows would be more convenient, too. But I need to incorparate the running in it...help! |

Hello there,
The demo for Slig Patrol is finally here! (It's the Scrub Escape level) Since this is a demo, I have disabled the passwords. You start out as a Slig Popper, but in the real game you start out crawling. (I have made it a demo because I want you guys to test it out to see if I skipped something) CONTROLS: a, s, d, w=walk left, down, right, up A, S, D, W=run left, down, right, up e=shoot right q=shoot left space=use lever/other stuff PS: I don't know why it's so freakin' slow; I'll release a faster version as soon as I can. PPS: I don't know if this zip file will work, either. Please reply with what you think about the game. |

No, actually, I don't know what's up with this. I think it might be that I made it on a mac but then made it into a zip; maybe it had to be made on a windows.:( :( :(

Oh yeah! I forgot to ask! Does anyone have a program that will convert files from mac to make them windows readable? I'll post it again, but I don't think there will be much change. :(
PS: Can anyone read .tgz files or .sit files? I can try those too. EDIT: Hey tybie_odd! I'm glad you asked. I used the program named Cocoa DR3. It is the very old version of Stagecast; I used Cocoa instead because it was free. ;) You can find Stagecast at http://www.stagecast.com I think there is a page devoted to Cocoa somewhere at http://www.kidsdomain.com It's very easy to use! |

I have been trying to confuse the demo in to thinking it has to use a different aplication to run it. I am nearly there so hang on and I might get it to work. Don't keep your hopes up though!

Sorry Mac, I only got some info on notepad but it needs to be decoded and I don't have a decoder. At the moment all there is are rectangles, poorley rendered but it will improve once I've worked it out.

Hey, here's a list of the things that I can do to upgrade Slig Patrol once I have Stagecast. Please tell me what I should and shouldn't do. 1)Backgrounds(this would take a long time) 2)Slig feelings 3)No multiple screens; it's just one big screen: "camera" follows you(this would save a lot of time) 4)Every single Vendo weapon (so even sligs can use lil hackers and Snuzis) 5)Power-up Vendos(I'm not sure about this one) 6)Health (bird style) 7)Gut splatters (AO style) 8)Mudarchers and Tomahawkers 9)Possessed creatures 10)Slurgs and Fleeches Once again, please tell me what you think of these ideas, and wheter or not I should put them in Slig Patrol. |
Mac you should do what you want. I would like all these things except for number 5, the power-up vendos. But you should do whatever you like. If you put the power-up vendos in I'll still like the game.:D ;)

Well, the company that hosts sligpatrol.s5.com won't let anyone play it online, it just says "Cocoa Error" no matter what you do. I tried going to customer service and telling them the code they need to put in for the game to work, but sadly, the "send" button didn't work. So, frankly, I'm quite pissed. You might still be able to play it via the .zip file that I attatched a few posts back. Try it, and then please tell me if it works. Thanks!:) -Mac |
