So is the ending basically just a rip-off of The Others/The Sixth Sense?
|
Yeah, but the way it was presented. So, were they ghosts at the beginning trough the whole movie? Or...man that movie made my head hurt lol. In my opinion, it wasn't worth my money.

What I ment to say, was that was the film suppossed to be that she was dead at the beginning? If it was, then their previous life had no purpose, and the movie had no purpose? Maybe I should play the game. |
Spoilers!
They aren't dead. They just never left the parallel universe of silent hill. End Spoilers! Sory about that. I'm going to have to change my name to fuucktart. |
Sweet mother of God. Use Spoiler Alerts, you unbelievable bastards.

Yes, she and Cybil died in the car crash right before she wakes up in Silent Hill. The point of you realizing that they have been dead at the end was meant to bring up questions. Just like how her husband never passed into 'the otherworld.' Questions that could lead to a possible sequel ;). If you really want full Silent Hill feeling, then yes, you should play the game. That is what the movie was based on, after all. MOD EDIT: Don't you give me rolly eyes, young man. Not my fault you didn't follow one of the most basic and well-known rules of internet etiquette. |
Sorry If I sound like an imbesile lol! It's just some of it was hard to understand. The monsters were pretty good, but there should have been more, and their should have been some indication about how they fit into the movie (Such as Pyramid Head is a manifestation of punishment for the person if they feel guilty about a situation and wish to die for it.) It was too much about the people and it needed more of a foundation as to how events were suppossed to make sense. I still stick by that the ending was crap, but I guess it kind of makes sense. They should have had the ending be more elaborate for the average movie-goer, such as have the husband find a newspaper that says "Two found dead in Silent Hill due to car crash!" It's not overstating the obvious and it basically gets a reaction to the audience like "Oh ok I see why that's happening."
Overall, it's not the worst movie in the world. It was going good until the ending. To be honest, it was not that scary either, it wasn't anything we haven't seen before. I give it a 2 out of 5. |
