Hey Wil, assuming you can see the Steam stats for SWHD, how has the release of Black Mesa (pretty much on the same day) impacted people playing the game? I played it for a bit until Black Mesa was released and haven't touched it since, was just wondering if that's a trend you can actually see on some graph or something?

I intend to complete Stranger HD after I'm done with BMS - But I've been waiting a lot longer for BMS so it's taken priority. I was waiting for Stranger HD too. :P

Perhaps a few others are the same.

I imagine it was because people like me threw a little hissy fit that they weren't going to get patched into the version of the game that we bought.

They were never intended for the PC version, and if they were platform exclusive at some point, they would filter through to the other platforms if at all possible.

No I was asking why they were taken from the HD version. They showed some screenshots of the Scuba Toad in the HD version of the game on facebook.

They weren't actually put back in to the HD version. That was just JAW finding an old copy of the Xbox version before they were removed.

Hm. This is odd. I downloaded it today (it said it'd take 2 days 2 hours but only took about 30 minutes. :P) but when I press play it seems to work but the screen is blank. The noises are all there and stuff but I can't see anything, except my mouse.

EDIT: I'm not the only one to have this problem aswell. It seems that loads of people have got it.

I'm really, really not trying to be a dick when I say this, but I found the response of "We know that the game is unplayable, but haven't quite figured out how to fix that problem" to be hilarious. Again, not in a shitty way. I just thought it was a funny response. Also, I understand that releasing a game on the pc is always a craps shoot, as it's impossible to know what kind of machines will have what problems in a lot of these situations.
