I know, only fans would buy it. Wouldnt it be cool to have a Munch's Oddysee in 2D though? I think that would be so cool to see Munch in 2D!
I don't agree, 2D today would be suicide, except if it's at a very low price, but then they wouldn't make much profit.
On the other hand OWI has alway claimed to be an 3D oriented studio, the fact they did 2D games at first was because 3D didn't look pretty back in time. |
Yes, but don't you think it would be cool to see Munch(not Munch's Oddysee, Munch himself)have to do all those hard problems Abe had to go through?
I know it would not make that much money, Im just saying it would be cool. |
Oddworld always have fresh new ideas, that's what makes then alive and keep on going. They're not the type of company that would remake a game with similarity with the same ideas, unless they realy wanted to. They are an innovative developer.
I think OWI could make a bonus 2D Munch game that could be bundled with a special edition of their next game. You would have the 360 with the latest Oddworld game and the Munch side-adventure game! That would be a dream pack,I tell you!
Thats exactly what I mean, just a little fun something.
Like I said,OWI could take some time between two games to make a bundle.Like, for the AO/AE disc, they wouldn't need to arrange anything on the games that would take too much time.Just make a conversion and put it as a bonus with a new game. And the Munch side-adventure would not be a bad idea, too. If they could make Oddworld games for the Game Boy Color, why don't they take the time for another 2D game? They just need to bundle it with their next game!
OI didn't make those gameboy games. They just gave nintendo permission to make them.
Sorry,my mistake.Still, the packs I talked about would still be great!
I think Munch as a side-scroller would be a mistake. I mean, Munch's controls were irritating enough as it is (except for when he was in the water) so restricting them to two dimensions would just make it more noticable.
Well, you got a point here.Munch control's were bad,so a game with Munch alone would be troubles, because in MO,Abe was as important as Munch.Munch practically depended on Abe to advance.
Maybe Munch could always be in a wheelchair or Abe could carry him.
Even with the wheelchair, munch's moves are too limited for a platform game, particularly as he can't jump very high.
Of all the things that irritated me when playing through Munch's Oddysee, Munch's controls did it the least. It's more a case of finding it incredibly dull to try and get him from one end of the level to the next, but then MO did that always. I even got bored of watching the camera swivel whenever I jumped in a well - that never happened in the first games. MO was just a slow game that lacked excitement. Being chased by a herd of Scrabs just turns out to be dull.
In principle, I like the idea of having to use two separate characters tactically, but it does actually double all the tedious travelling around in a game. |
I really LOVED Munch's Oddysee. I liked how you could run around being chased by Scrabs, because that way you can lead them into bombs and do all sorts of exiting things.
