OANST 12-23-2009 12:29 PM

He's an ignorant, hateful coward who made a multi by the name of Opril.

Disgruntled Intern 12-23-2009 12:30 PM

Okay, I've got a handle on the multi thing. What I'm asking, is what the fuck did this ackro character do to make you so cunty?

EDIT: Don't take that question to mean I favor Opril. I don't. He's been a fucking waste since his first post.

OANST 12-23-2009 12:32 PM

He spent the majority of his stay here insulting MA for what he took to be his Mexican heritage.

Disgruntled Intern 12-23-2009 12:35 PM

Oh, fuck that.

Blargh. Still need to see District 9. I think I'm craving to see Avatar again though.

One looked like your momma too, but much more attractive.

OH, that was a cheap shot.
Seriously though Ackro/Opril, your getting overemotional, calm down a bit. Refrain from posting such things, people will like you more :D.

On topic, I watched "Son Of Rambo". It was ok, seemed to go on a bit in the middle. I prefered the french character over all the others.

enchilado 12-23-2009 03:12 PM

I've known Ackro was Opril since his first post, but I don't have a problem with him. I like him, in fact.

Although he has sent me hateful PMs for being an atheist...

Disgruntled Intern 12-23-2009 03:16 PM

You're fucking weird you know that

Sekto Springs 12-23-2009 04:24 PM

Yeah, Ackril, Opro.. whatever.
A majority of the forumites already deduced a while ago who you were. Either the mods are dumb as fuck or they turned a blind-eye since you didn't actually break any rules. Although I think you technically did as soon as you started posting under both accounts simultaneously.

enchilado 12-23-2009 04:40 PM

I knew before he even made a post! His username, avatar and signature were so similar in style that this thread is derailing like a wet freight train.

Nate 12-23-2009 09:59 PM

As I've said elsewhere, we chose to let Opril have a second chance. Given that he hadn't been posting for very long as Ackro, it barely counts as a multi. In any case, creating a multi is an infractible offence, not an instaban.

The Ackro account has been disabled, so he's not going to be crossposting any more.

Leto 12-23-2009 11:52 PM

The last piece of drama I saw Opril/Ackro.

Josh 12-24-2009 06:31 AM

I just saw Lars and the Real Girl. Basically a lonely man has a woman-doll from the internet that he has a relationship with untill she 'dies'

I have a new favorite film.

The idea of you smoking pot bothers me a great deal, young man.

I also did last night. We played with Lego and watched Summer Heights high. Tried watching Metalocalypse but my older sister wasn't finding it as funny as me and my other sister.

Apparently they have a Three Year running tradition of smoking a ton of pot after Midnight mass. Good method for dealing with it...being Christmas day.

Disgruntled Intern 12-24-2009 02:24 PM

But you're just a baby!

tsk.

Yeah, it's a fantastic film. I kept expecting it to devolve in to a Farrelly brothers gross-out film but it somehow manages to become a really sweet, good-natured comedy with a strong heart. It also has some of the most brilliant sight-gags in any movie I've seen. I'd recommend it to everyone.

I want hateful PMs so I will state here: I am an atheist. Please enlighten me Opril.

I'm a baby with a man's heart.

I'm.

A warrior.

Wings of Fire 12-25-2009 10:03 AM

I just watched the 1984 version of A Christmas Carol starring George C Scott who has now taken over from Michael Caine as my favourite Ebeneezer Scrooge.

What a truly fantastic adaption, Edward Woodward as the Ghost of Christmas Present was amazing.

'Are they not of the human race? Look here beneath my robe!

Look upon these! They are your children, they are the children of all who walk the earth unseen. Their names are Ignorance and Want. Beware of them! For upon their brow is written the word Doom. They spell the downfall of you and all who deny their existence!'

Doctor Who "The end of time".

Just ... Just ... *Phew*

MA 12-25-2009 01:31 PM

i just watched The Royle Family, the new Christmas episode they made, and oh god i haven't laughed so fucking hard in all my days. if you have not seen it yet, you will remember the golden eggcup, eggy bread, the wiper scene on the motorway and Jim & David sharing a bed afterwards, and you will laugh if you remember any of these later on in the week.

Royle Family is bloody brilliant, and surprisingly, i have not seen many episodes of the series; i've mainly seen the specials made.

Havoc 12-25-2009 03:09 PM

Just saw Avatar 3D. A recycled story set in a wonderful universe with epic graphics. I think that about sums it up.

It was fucking brilliant. I loved it. They are so fucking gormless.
"Bloody hell, if you want something done around here, you've to bloody do it yourself! Barbara, get up there."

Have you seen the Alastair Sim film? He'll always be my favorite Scrooge.

enchilado 12-25-2009 04:44 PM

I've never seen any version of a Christmas Carol, but I'm ashamed to admit I've read the storybook adaptation of the Disney movie.

Also, I watched the first scene of the Muppets Christmas Carol on Youtube. Damn it looks good.

Michael Caine played that Scrooge, didn't he?

i tell you now, the motorway scene when someone cuts up David, and instead of flashing his lights he turns on the windscreen wipers and washer, i couldn't stop laughing for around 5 minutes. Jim shouting "Oh well done David, he'll think twice about doing that again now that you've washed your bloody windscreen!" was the icing on the cake. i missed half of what was said after that.

Dipstikk 12-25-2009 07:28 PM

Mom and I just got finished watching The Cove, a recommendation from Sekto Springs. Very disturbing. I don't think I've cried that hard in a long, long time. You just feel so helpless, watching them being slaughtered like that. There were parts, especially near the end, where I found it difficult to watch.

We also saw Precious today, which was just as sad, but at least for Clarice there's some silver lining on the edge of the cloud.

Yeah, it's a real ball-twister.
Ghost and WoF; you need to sit your asses down and watch this so you can learn to hate the japanese like the rest of us.
Out of curiosity, during your little otaku meetings, do you hitch dolphins to the back of your truck and drag them around town while the friction from the pavement skins them alive?

Bastards. All of you.

Watched Scrooged. A comically dark christmas classic. Bill Murray and obscure, early Danny Elfman FTW. Gunna finally make my friend watch City of Lost Children at some point too now that I have my own copy.

I missed that line, because my nephew ran in shouting about his exitement for Christmas. I'll have to watch it again, it's too good to miss. The part where Jim was sat on the toilet with the door open tickled me. Just sat there having a conversation, and singing "One" when they started watching The One Show through the window of the neighbour's caravan. There was something else that had me doubled over, but I can't for the life of me remember what it was.

Doctor Who "The end of time".

This.

I was hoping for something better than an hour of somebody complaining about how hungry they are and acting like a loony. The return of the Time Lords could be interesting.

slig# 5719 12-26-2009 04:35 AM

Coraline.

I think I can say it's one of the strangest films i've seen so far.
