What Oddworld Forums doesn't seem to understand is that Dr. Who is a fucking terrible show. I mean, it's really bad.

MeechMunchie 12-28-2009 06:50 AM

It has being downhill quite lot recently.

MA 12-28-2009 06:56 AM

your spelling is atrocious tonight.

:tard:

OANST 12-28-2009 06:59 AM

Good lord. Did I start another meme?

MA 12-28-2009 07:03 AM

even that's a meme.

i watched The Gruffalo the other day on telly. it was just enjoyable, sure kids loved it, and i found it rather funny at times. but i have an easy sense humour so, i consider that a blessing.

Mac Sirloin 12-28-2009 12:02 PM

Watched UP with my family, wonderful little movie. I have nothing bad to say about it.

I also watched District 9 in my dingy, unlit room by myself. It too was a good movie, but i don't understand how the 2 Disc Special edition didn't come with that scene shown in the trailers of the MNU Agents Interrogating one of the prawns.

Leto 12-28-2009 12:23 PM

perhaps it was made just for the trailer? was the trailer included on the dvd?

Wings of Fire 12-28-2009 01:40 PM

Watched Part 1 of the new dramatization of Day of the Triffids, which is basically a melodramatic zombie survivor flick with added blind people and more plants.

Daxter King 12-30-2009 01:45 PM

Inglourious Basterds.

It was pretty good, it really dragged on too much though, and could've used some more action.

shaman 12-30-2009 02:08 PM

Yeah, i also saw Inglorious Basterds. It's good, but the gaps between the actiony parts were way to long.

I like the way this is the only war film i've seen where The good guys kill Hitler

Well, I foolishly scrolled over the spoiler tag before having seen the film. Bummer.

Strike Witch 12-30-2009 02:12 PM

Good lord GI Joe was painful.

Underwater Sub battle what the hell.

Sorry.

But you gotta admit, that is pretty epic. Feel free to negrep me.

Fuzzle Guy 12-30-2009 02:27 PM

I wouldn't negrep you. I love you.

I'll just add it to the long list of things I read that I wasn't meant to.

It's pronounced Gaah-lick, not gaylic. Also the assumption that the villain has his instructions in Gaelic because he's Scottish speaks miles about the quality of the film.[/Rant]

I watched the second half of that Day of the Triffids thing which was awesome because Eddie Izzard was being awesome in it, and Char's Counterattack which was pretty awesome but I feel the weakest of the main Gundam tetralogy .

slig# 5719 12-30-2009 02:59 PM

Nan's Christmas Carol.

Yet another take on a christmas classic. It was still quite funny though. The end (After the credits) didn't surprise me at all.

Sekto Springs 12-30-2009 04:37 PM

Saw Avatar, finally. I really have nothing to say about it that hasn't been said already. T'was pretty fucking awesome though. 3D was pretty good too.

Also watched a film called Santa's Slay. A hilariously twisted comedy/slasher in which Santa is actually the son of Satan, and has only been spreading cheer for the last thousand years because he lost a wager. The thousand years are up and he goes on a massacre, giving dozens of helpless idiots a christmas-themed death. The role of Santa was portrayed by ex-wrestler Goldberg, you know, the only wrestler's name you knew when you were a kid and pretended to like it. I thoroughly enjoyed it, a nice slice of holiday-themed slasher cheese for me to munch on.

Santa's slay is an old movie, but you did get every detail
about it right. I thought it was actually more comical then scary.

Sekto Springs 12-30-2009 04:44 PM

It's roughly four years old, I know. I haven't really immersed myself in indie, low-budget, tongue-in-cheek horror for a long time. It was refreshing.

I also watched this god-awful Korean horror film titled "Red Eye" (no affiliation with the American Cillian Murphy/Wes Craven turdfest). It made no fucking sense and it really boiled down to another film that tried and failed to ride the asian horror bandwagon.

quite late, but it was never uphill. thank god there's one other person on the internet who shares my hate of that godawful show.

MeechMunchie 12-31-2009 01:55 AM

Saw Avatar. It was OK. You can put that on the poster. The animals were pretty but overdecorated - you could tell they had been made with more fantastical intentions than functional ones, the lemurs looked kinda like Mudokons, the furry blue love scene under the telpath tree was slightly disconcerting, like Havoc had slipped an extra page into the script, when their religion turned out to be real as all the animals came to save them it seemed like a bit of a Deus Ex Machina. That's it.

Naysayers will be blown up for the RDA.

They make you drink coffee with a toxin that makes your veins explode.

Sekto Springs 12-31-2009 09:18 AM

I really don't think it counts as furry if the animals in question have no fur. I saw them as blue, humanoid aliens, nothing more.

used:) 12-31-2009 09:44 AM

I saw them as a little animal-like, but not as far as furry. I mainly saw them as blue humaoids too.

Sekto Springs 12-31-2009 09:46 AM

I think people saw the pointy ears and wide noses and screamed "OMFG CAT FURRY QAPLAAAAA"

They're not cats, they're not furries. They're fucking aliens with tails. Fucking counter-cultures ruining everything...

used:) 12-31-2009 09:47 AM

EDIT: Fuck, misread. Nvm.

Sekto Springs 12-31-2009 09:48 AM

Then what the hell is the sex scene in Species 2?

Strike Witch 12-31-2009 11:32 AM

They definitely weren't furry. Furry is that retarded fandom that springs up around anthropomorphic animal people, not the anthropomorphic animal people themselves.

Leto 12-31-2009 11:48 AM

I thought the sex scene was well done (ie breif and non explicit). It was one of the few things that was obvious to keep it PG rated (the other being the language in it, god damn soldiers don't say "crap" and "shut your pie hole")

used:) 12-31-2009 12:18 PM

I remember them saying "shit" and "fuck."

Sekto Springs 12-31-2009 01:15 PM

I'm glad you all agree on the non-furry thing. I really think those that call "furry" on any non-human sexual (or even nonsexual) anthropamorphism are closet-furries themselves in denial.

michelle rodriguez says "i didn't sign up for this shit", once in the whole film, but i don't remember anyone saying "fuck"

used:) 12-31-2009 02:30 PM

Oh yeah. On second thought, I don't remember "fuck" either.

Disgruntled Intern 12-31-2009 02:47 PM

Why don't you nerds just start an Avatar topic already?

Goddamn

Pilot 12-31-2009 09:56 PM

Is anyone keeping up with "Lost"?

Did you ever notice how the actual spoiler contained in this sneak peak of season 6 NEVER HAPPENED? It's a little outrageous.

What's with Mr. Clean and Haggard from Harry Potter?? Happy new year.
